Its reduced chances from the most abundant chests only to increase chances from less available chests.
It will most likely lead to nearly the same amount of chests needed (probably only a reduction from 45-50 to 40-45)
The time it will take to get 1 drop will most likely actually go up due to how overthrows work compared to just normal farming.

Yeah but it won’t feel like mindless boring farming and overthrow gives out other great rewards.

Overthrow gives out no good rewards. World drops are useless, pale heart engrams are already really plentiful from the current method and ergo sum isnt that great outside of a couple rolls which are still mid at best. Its a worse method overall considering it will also most likely take longer to get a drop going forward even if its fewer chests.

World drops aren’t useless if you’re actually seeking out those weapons. They may be useless to you but that doesn’t mean they are useless in general.

All of those have better alternatives for PvE and Helio os probably the only genuinely good one without a complete better alternate from endgame content or from crafting (drang is a solid alternative with a faster TTK though)

No that’s not accurate at all. Some of world drop weapons are excellent and more difficult to attain a god roll on. They spent time making some of the world drops having rare perk combos on solid frames. The new gem is the SG with chain reaction and discord. It’s a bit nuts with how powerful it is.

When was the last time a none slug or 1-2 punch shotgun actually good for anything outside of bottom tier strikes and patrol?

The AR and sidearm he listed are S tier too. Helio is one of the best side arms in the game. They are killer weapons. World drops stopped being garbage last year. This why people spend hours farming them in master LS. Theres videos on most of the weapons for a reason.

Helio is solid in PvP but outclassed by Drang unless youre using wormhusk where heal clip really goes off puttig you at max health every time you dodge after a kill, it allows for far more consistent 2v1s. Argo really isnt all that good, ARs in general arent that great in PvE and for PvP its not going to do better than Summoner, Khvostov, Ammit or Prosecutor. Also when was the last time i cared to use a shotgun? Infinite ammo or not, if im punching range in anything outside of low tier content im either on a consecration titan, graple melee hunter (im gonna be using a 1-2 shotgun instead and it definitely isnt for anything aside from the melee increase) or im playing stupidly. In PvP having opening shot is far more advantagous than anything else or im just gonna use my conditional. They really dont have anything going for them outside helio and again maybe crux but crux is more of a stop gap than a keep forever.

Like I said that’s why they’re part of master lost sectors on a rotating schedule to farm. What 600 rpm void AR are using with repulser/destabilizing or rewind/onslaught? What SG you using with chain reaction that pulls ammo from thin air? Drang have heal clip to proc Benevolence? The weapons are excellent period and available for average players to attain through grind.

Drang has heal clip? I need to check that. Where do you actually use an SG that needs to have chain reaction and discord? Why use a 600rpm void AR? Summoner is just flat out better (also anyone can get it given the trials changes) and when do you need any of those perks in PvP or PvE, i guess theyre fun but, unless youre building around being able to constantly spam void debuffs for repulser (Gyrfalcon is the only decent option for that), theyre kinda useless. Im not saying theyre not good enough to use if youre new but given this game does not get many new players it makes them even more useless. Also videos do not determine what is good, a top tier player can make trash look decent just from their own skill but it doesnt mean its actually good.

The SG is awesome for double special load outs for two reasons. Free ammo and chain reaction. I forgot about the RL too which is fantastic. They have a lot going on from accessibility to unique perk combinations for build crafting. The more players catch on to how good certain world drops are the more they’ll be used. Like I said it’s the whole reason they put them on a rotating schedule in LS and added guaranteed drips with double perks in master LS. I research the rolls now so I don’t accidentally delete them.

Ros Arago IV is the best Void AR in PvE only one that comes close is the one from Last Wish. Old Sterling is a good Strand AR if you don’t have the one from Root. Cruz Termination IV is the best Arc rocket for overall DPS. Marcato-45 is the best Strand LMG. Parabellum is a good alternative if you don’t have Mini Tool. Heliocentric is the best Solar sidearm for PvE. Suspectum-4FR is a good Stasis linear if you don’t already have a good one. Your mindset is coming from someone that already has all of the crafted weapons and Dungeon weapons. Yet not everyone is like me and you. Having alternatives to crafted weapons doesn’t make those alternatives useless.

It kinda does. The only one with actual use is Helio for PvP and Crux if for some reason you dont have Apex or Gally. Those other weapons do not have value and are not viable in enough content.

Heliocentric isn’t only used in PvP besides for PvP Drang is just better. Yet I’m not talking about PvP here.

Except helio can roll heal/kill clip which on a wormhusk hunter going against multiple targets is far better than what drang can offer but thats a very specific class that really benefits from helio in PvP. In PvE helio is outdone by the new rocket sidearm or even just a summoner which gives more range. Again, helio is only somewhat good in PvP and crux is the best PvE option from the world drops but both have better alternatives that are not difficult to get, if anything its easier to get the better options crafted than it is to get a god roll world drop which makes them useless.

Reread my comment I added to it. You may think they are useless because you already have good weapons and don’t need alternatives. Yet not everyone is like you and not everyone finds world drops useless.
