Honestly PvP was in a semi-decent spot beyond a few outliers with the ammo transmat system. Yes it had a few outliers, but the ammo transmat meter placed more emphasis on primary gun and player skill. But now I feel as though special ammo and ability spam have returned in spades with TFS.

You would like the no ability-mode called hardware.. I have no idea where the F it is but it was a nice option on the side. They took time to make it.. Also... they made a checkmate mode (low ability regen) but again that is nowhere on the 18 node playlist of crucible.. I swear these guys (Bungie) seem to have absolutely no idea what is even going on in their game.. but PVP takes time to acclimate even weekly sometimes to the "maintenance" they perform so my advice is give it time and look for the modes above if they ever pop up again. -

With people dying 3s after you died as your kill and such. * Edit: Forgot to mention new supers like Storm's Edge being broken + Prismatic The only bright side we got were the 3 new maps with the "Into the Light" update and now with this week the return to special ammo boxes instead of a killstreak bar.

Get the new scout rifle and enjoy abusing every1 like your in momentum control.

13 RespuestasYou should try PC and use MnK. Bungie hates MnK players.

7 RespuestasYou know what's awful? Playing zone control as a solo player in comp. You will lose 99.9% of the time because your team doesn't know what objectives are.
-
Yea it's horrible, im upset my girl got me this dlc for 100 dollars, lol still trying to get a refund from steam..., that 100 dollars can be used on a better game
-
Only about 5% or so of players are in PvP at any time, at best. So Bungie really isn't going to spend much time supporting it when almost 90% of players are doing PvE content or Raids and Dungeons.

The gunplay is awesome. The problem is that some abilities are just too powerful inherently with no way to balance them without revoking their entire identity. Stasis that freezes you in place is pretty much a garaunteed death. But what are you supposed to do about that? Reduce it to slow? Boo. I just miss when it was all light subclasses.
-
It's even worse now, I'm seeing people rubber banding or invisible in every direction and I have stellar internet but Bungie's servers are just in horrible shape literally all the time. I dread having to do anything at all that requires crucible.

1 RespuestaThe problem is that we have way too low health for how powerful the abilities are. This game plays like GIGANTIC, a lot of abilities and movement. But the health feels like Call of Duty. You die to quick from anything even when you do everything the correct way to prevent it. They either raise the health or lower the damage output.

7 RespuestasThe problem is that PvP just doesn't work well in a power fantasy game - DE found that out with Warframe and just won't devote any more time to it. It's why PvP takes a back seat in most MMOs too. The reason that it thrives in other games is that they are all designed so that everyone has access to (or the chance to access) the same arsenal so the only thing that will tip the scales is your own personal skill. Having a game where weapon 'x' is completely dominant or ability 'y' outclasses everything else and then combine it with a community that don't want a level playing field and this is unfortunately what you get.

8 Respuestas1. Discrediting Destiny gunplay pretty much disqualifies the remainder of your statement. The gunplay is top shelf.....and front & center in PvP for a change. 2. If you had an awful time in PvP about a year ago when it was much more stacked in your favor.....its no wonder you hate it now because it's no longer curated for players such as yourself. 3. Bungle did a hard 180 turnaround with its March sandbox and won't be reverted. Its now PvP for PvP players for the most part. 4. Mayhem, Scorched, Relic, private match, Sparrow Control.....abd Comp (for your farming), are all still there for you. Cheers

I'm still having fun.

1 RespuestaAbilities are the identity of the game… they should be powerful… more so even…
-
Unfortunately, abilities define the gameplay in PVP more than the gunplay. I hate the direction in which PVP has gone in the last few years. It feels like I play Mayhem all the time
-
I think if you haven’t played PvP for over a year you’re probably going to have to give it a bit of time before you do well and enjoy it.
-
1 RespuestaPretty sure the best thing in Destiny IS the gunplay... I get not enjoying how it pans out in the crucible, and by no means are saying you're incorrect - I just think you're using that term a bit differently than most in gaming would. Destiny is KNOWN for having great gunplay mechanics in general.

5 RespuestasThe gunplay is pretty good, I think. Abilities are VERY silly indeed, supers in particular. It was better last week, though.
