I think you're on to something... Now I have a different perspective but it's similar.... Mara talked about Sagira... we keep hearing about this plan right? Who were the 1st ghosts? 😉 Look into it, and their massive influence on the Vanguard as it formed. The Speaker could not hear the Traveler... our Ghosts were guiding us. Geppetto... Sagira... etc. "Then I thought about Vance and his piousness towards Osiris...." I'm going to challenge you on this. Was he though? Or was it an act? He wasn't a blind zealot of Osiris... he was sycophant and spy for Queen Mara. It's in the lore. What we saw? It was an act. Osiris was manipulated and corrupted by both Mara and Savathun. He really doesn't seem like himself. Why didn't he ever tell us about the "plan" he was orchestrating with one Mara Sov? https://www.destinypedia.com/Lore:The_Dreaming_City#Throne ""Do we wish to trust the Guardians?" Illyn filled in dryly. Mara ran her hand along the sleek surface of the primary well's control mechanism, then turned and walked alone toward the fresh, foggy air that blew in from the coast. The Techeuns watched her go. "There is only the plan," Illyn said. "Remember your vows, Sedia.""

Scrolled through 5 posts in lore and you are in all 5 saying “omg its so close to what i think” then talk about how you think its all connected to mara with absolutely 0 proof. “He was a spy for mara and a sycophant” like what? What proof? What lore card? Oh your opinion is lore my bad

  •
Nope... here you go: Trials and Tribulations: Beguiled
Doesn’t say hes a spy, just that while he is living in the reef he gives reports to the queen. He isn’t Awoken he could not be a spy for the queen due to that simply. Hes more then likely giving her this information as a agreement lmao. He is obsessed with Osiris and when he was promised by mara that he would share a secret with him do you not think that he would tell her whatever he needed to make him meeting osiris a reality? The queen was taking advantage of him and his obsession lmao its so obvious just you for some reason dont see that and ignore ALL of vances past lore for a single tab lmao

  • You can frame it like this nitpicking semantics of distinction, it doesn't change anything you know that. Mara IS Corrupt. Vance was corrupt and not who he presented himself as to Osiris or us. Whether he was a willing spy or coerced, it's exactly the same results. Like Mara manipulated us to exterminate the Amhakara... Mara keeps her "Secrets". Get it?

  • Well for me, he had instructions sure, I mean that's kinda how CoO played out...like an instruction book on bringing Osiris back from being "lost". I'm wanting to understand these machines abilities more, they were obviously right, you could do some very bad -blam!- with this stuff. And so...is there a being that saw past the corruption of these machines, these existential crisis machines. Wanna wipe some people from existence, wanna rewrite the past to... "Rez" yourself at a certain point.

Outside of Asher he was the foremost expert on the paracausal and the Vex. Keeping tabs on him, controlling him... corrupting him... seems valuable. Seems valuable if say the Vex were an obstacle/threat to parties trying to take over the universe... define the final shape. I think Geppetto drew us into conflict with the Eliksni... I believe Sagira and Vance framed the Vex as enemies. The Eliksni aren't a monolith... nor the Cabal... nor the Vex per ICoV lore... Maya's experiences... our experiences... remember that ally Harpy? The secret ending of Vexcalibur with Asher? Both Mara and Savathun are great at starting wars, using them to gain power and influence whilst hiding in the shadows.

  • Oh man, Asher. 🤔 Being part of something we understand so little about...what did he achieve? To become the truth within a network where time doesn't matter, where he could meet an axis mind that could take him from one point in time and write himself elsewhere as someone else. Man I can't wait until we get away from the hive and start on this fringe science -blam!-...and hopefully people have some existential thought about themselves.

I'm leaning more and more towards your version of our existence being a simulation. I've used the metaphor of the the Traveler being a hydroelectric dam.... I still think that's decent... but now I'd say... a Super Computer attached to and running that dam. And Savathun is the operator... has been. Controls the light and our ghosts. I posted "Secrets" talking about it... I believe I solved the Altar of Reflection puzzles... and the solution supports a lot of the stuff you've been writing about. How can the Fundament and the Distributary be next to each other in the Traver? I linked videos that answer that. One of truth solutions: The Traveler is a computer. How do I know? The solutions have clues... there's 4 clues & the 2 that match the conditions of any one clue I believe are the solution. For the cutscene that identifies the Traveler as a part of a computer system the clues are: The Traveler will leave. The Traveler will Fall. The Traveler is not the only one of its kind. & The Hive are not the last to be chosen by the light. "not the last to be chosen" is logic cipher... essentially a rule... it means via logical construction of the statement whether included explicitly in the statement or not. So, here's how it works... I won't do the math but this is provable respective the statements available... you should get it by my exposition. We know the Hive have gotten the "light" So all we need are statements that allow for the possibility of the Hive not being "last" chosen by the "light". It doesn't have to be affirmative either, the logic just needs to work. And the only 2 solutions are the dismissals that were true to the logic of any clues. That being: why the Hive were chosen by the traveler to receive the light. In both solutions it begins they weren't chosen, but not by the Light... by the Traveler. Which allows for them to receive the light... which must happen for the key to work & we know they have... from in-game events. The logic is still holding. Then, the first solution explains where they could get the light without the Traveler choosing them directly... via the surrogate of Savathun who was given the "light" and ghosts to choose and control others like the lightbearer Hive. The logic is sound, neither other statement works logically. So that's how I am fairly confident those are the 2 truths vs. the remaining 2 lies.
