“Snake Draft” style lobby balancing is the best PvP news I’ve heard in over a year
Really looking forward to playing this next season. I love PvP. But being a player on the higher end of the skill curve, the current Lobby Balancing feels very punishing. It’s worse than SBMM (which I’m also glad is being nerfed).

Sbmm was never the problem for me. Idk if it even really exists at this point since I somehow get matched with 5 blues that have their tv’s turned off majority of games. There is no way these players are even close to my skill bracket. Lobby “balancing” for the L

As long as solos and teams are in the same pool, it won't solve anything. Freelance is the only thing they could somewhat balance.

Still needs a player base to be working. It will work right up until the seasonal content is finished and then will be right back to where we are now.

What they're doing, I have brought up on the forums several times over the years. Until an employee "totally thought of this on their own" though, they couldn't put it in the game.

Pre-made teams will be rife again with sbmm pretty much out. bungie has already stated they have no way to control connection , skill or team balancing in matchmaking when a pre-made team enters the lobby. Freelance needs to come back for the best experience.
