I honestly don't think it would be all that different. In the end it's still the same old limited outdated engine and system that should have been scrapped when D2 was released.

Could you EVEN imagine?

Eververse would have been absolutely overflowing with that much investment. 😉

I feel like this is just a repeat of the Halo to Destiny situation, just more public. I could be wrong because I didn't care back then, as halo was just a fun campaign to play through once with bugs in my case, so I could be wrong. But I do remember seeing plenty of upset halo fans, then and still now to a point.

That’s the real problem isn’t it? I dont care what Bungie does with its profits - but if so much effort and man hours is going into another project at the expense of this one, why on earth should we continue supporting it?

More new content , less shortcuts and recycling , less bugs , seasonal new strikes and Crucible maps, bigger expansions and seasons In other words, 2015 and 2018

Would have changed nothing. They started some time ago trying to bind players through artificially increasing our playtime over making fun. They weren't going to change direction either way.

When you double your studio in the most expensive place possible only to shortly later do a massive layoff it is clear the leadership has no grasp of what they are doing

that would have been the honest thing to do, to let destiny stand on it's own success.
