I have full access to the season, paid the 100 and haven't even cared enough to log in. And not gonna. Destiny is not fun for me anymore, I'm done with it for for good. I pre-ordered Baldur's Gate 3 for ps5, gonna be digging into that quite thoroughly. Destiny and Bungie can go pork themselves, the greedy corporate trash that this company is. After this season when the length of my 100 bucks runs out, I'm never giving them a dime again and I'll be done commenting in the forums.

Weapons generally seem meh including Crota's end rolls....probably won't even craft any. Activity is boring already (to be expected, though). Typical season. By week 3 I'll log on to do GMs and 10 minutes for weekly story and that'll be it.

I'm enjoying the season, too, but this is just the normal season cycle for destiny lol. Season starts, people enjoy it, may even think it's better than last (that's cause of the cycle, keep reading). Midway through, people start to get tired of it because they have most of the things done/collected. By the end, people will be complaining about how horrible the season/game/bungie are and will proclaim how they are leaving, never playing again. New season drops, start cycle over. Been happening since d1 (was dlcs then) came out, will continue to happen until bungie turns off the servers.

I'm glad you're enjoying it. For me, the new seasonal activity seems to include a lot of things I don't care for - witch codes, jumping activities, puzzles, and horde mode in a circle. I can't even convince myself to log in. Looks like I need to take another break from the game. ☹️

Taking time off helps. I took a lot of Defiance off and all of Deep. I'm not buying Witch, but it was fun to do a full Last Wish and whatever the new raid boss is called with my clan. I even played some Momentum Control, which I wish was a full-time node, and some Trials, which I never do, and was rewarded by some kind of glitch where I can't turn the Photonic Vest into an ornament. Way to go Bungie!

I’m glad for you. My clan friends told me they haven’t found much motivation to play. A couple days logging on and they’re out.

Good post. I like the events, minus the tier 3 difficulty in Altars. The weapons are my favorite we've had and I've already crafted Brya's Love, and Keep Away with Precision Instrument is just mean😂, but awesome. I am contemplating crafting a second Explosive Payload. The fusion will be awesome. I can't craft it yet, but I'm like one or two Deepsights away, and already I love Heal Clip and Controlled Burst. I feel these two weapons will be formiddable once alot of people have crafted them. Hopefully no nerfs, but I do expect them with those perks. I've never taken issue with story. I just accept artist vision and I'm cool with that. The HC buff was much needed and fantastic. The new Strand subclass Aspects are amazing, but I expect those to all be nerfed into useless grounds too. I don't mind going to the same worlds or same types of activities, because its a long story, we're bound to kind of go in a circle there and we realistically shouldn't be expecting perfection or to be consistently blown away every single season or expansion. There will be hits and misses. Seeing some old stuff come back is never really an issue, because I think of how many weapons I was like [i]"I really wish I could craft one"[/i] and now we're getting that. Its just as fantastic as it should have been with the new addition of allowing Power Cores to be used for level progression, for particularly difficult weapon classes like fusions that just take forever. They're reasonably priced too. I hope it stays that way. Trace Rifles do feel largely useless and I'd like to see some kind of buff there. They do ok if you pulse fire them on criticals, but its just not a satisfying archetype to use now for the most part. They feel like they need better perks. Its always pretty basic. Coldheart is still awesome though. Bows will need alot of help if we continue down this path of smaller and smaller arenas. They already feel too clunky to use with how small our spaces are. Same with grenade launchers. I miss the [i]good[/i] waveframe design that fanned out, before they decided to mess up Deafening Whisper. That used to fan and was solid. I hate these bowling ball waveframes. Doesn't fell like a grenade launcher at all. Everything shoots in a straight line. These are supposed to be area clear weapons, and that straight line doesn't help that really. Its not a bad start. We'll see where it all goes

I like where the story is going and the weapons look amazing with Carbon Blood, but it irks me about a fair bit of the rest of this season. • finally get a ritual hand cannon, but it's got rolls I'll probably never use, partially because I already have better for that archetype in my vault • once again, a weapon I don't like gets a catalyst over something more requested and fitting for like the 8th season such as Thorn • several weapons are mediocre at best Hopefully the Crotas end weapons will be top tier, Necrochasm is going to be a monster even without the catalyst.

I agree. I really like the new strand aspects as well. Mind you, anything is better than walking through that slow as-f water.

They have to do something to get you to buy the next installment , gotta get them pre orders

It feels better than anything they pushed out since Lightfall. Probably because of more guns with destabilizing rounds, I’m focusing on void, surges be damned lol. Eris’ transformation was a nice touch. I might get Brya’s scout rifle to a craftable stage and maybe stick it out for Iggy’s with alacrity and maybe get more gambit lmgs, but make no mistake, come Starfield I’m mostly out of here for the foreseeable future. The narrative beats are just too disconnected and most activities that are worth doing to some degree are still all chaos, balls to the wall, spasms of mayhem that just blend into a grey pulp after a while.

Your not wrong tbh. I’m enjoying this season, I love how they made exotic season mission rotators and allow us to get red border weapons from WQ missed seasons again, the seasonal weapons being D1 weapons, Crota’s End returning, and bringing back some of the cool smgs.

Really liking both new seasonal activities. They stand on their own and are very rewarding. Good ad density too, which is always a plus. The story this season is great too in my opinion - one of the most major character developments in a long time with Eris becoming a Hive God, so I'm excited to see where it leads.
