I hope Marathon flops so they actually realize how good this game used to be and restore it but I get that would take a whole miracle and a half

I know I won’t be buying anymore Bungie products after tfs
-
I hope Marathon is great, that way Bungie can shutdown D2 permanently and put it in the dirt just to see the Bungie hate increase.

I approve.

Best case scenario, you want marathon to succeed so that cash stream can be used to bolster D2, provided that they dont just start on another game past matter. With that said best case scenarios dont typically happen, so D2 would just get a little more, but nowhere near where it once was. And personally I hope it flops, even if it takes destiny with it as I like to watch things burn.
-
If Marathon succeeds, Bungie will probably abandon D2. That’s why I’m lowkey praying on its downfall.
-
I just want bungie to go bankrupt
-
Either way I think Bungie has painted themselves into a corner with Marathon. If it succeeds then all the Destiny community will abandon the game, if it flops they will lose players on both sides. Only real way for them to make a comeback is to make Destiny Forsaken level good
-
True, but they don't have Activision to help them do it.
-
They are owned by Sony. They don’t lack resources like they claim.

Editado por Púca: 8/7/2023 5:20:39 PMYes and no. They still march to the beat of their own drum. Sony won't send other studios to help Bungie out like Activision did, it only draws resources and finances away from other projects Sony are backing. This partly why Activision stepped away from Bungie and D2. It wasn't profitable having two other studios bump Bungie along despite how well Forsaken was received.

Now Sony owns Bungie but Sony did a big oopsie giving Bungie billions to own them but not their games, which honestly was a big waste of money on Sony's part, so

Just their existing published games, no?
Just their existing published games, no?
All of it. Could've had the HM portion with a few bungie devs do Marathon and the VV portion do destiny with the other half of the merged bungie devs In a way, balance.

I am praying Marathon flops hard. Nobody should support it after seeing what they've done to Destiny.

People on social media would be oblivious unless destiny community comes out to spread the word
