Bungie has no choice to be greedy because Activision forces their hand. Activision just wants money. That's why they're dropping pvp and Gambit and only focusing on content that generates them money. We can't blame them, only support them. We have to feed them more money so they can buy themselves out of the whatever contract they have with Activision. Only then will Bungie begin to care for us the players.

1 RespuestaI’m surprised how many heads this went over.

8 RespuestasMan, for years a lot of the fans blamed Activision, and now that they can't blame them anymore they look for anything else to try to justify this business's poor actions. it's actually entertaining to watch them scramble looking for any excuse to play the "poor Bungie" nonsense when it was this business's actions that got them where they are in the first place that isn't a good thing at all. I've never seen so many enablers in my life that it's actually scary to think how many there are in this world. How easily people are fooled into believing the nonsense that comes from this business.

This aged well. Lol

1 Respuestayou can make a better argument than this. Bungie is operating off a completely different model than when they were with activision. Just because I agree with your general conclusion, doesn't mean I agree with your thought process, and frankly I'm a little embarrassed how quickly so many people have fallen to this hive-think.

The funny thing is how many people bought into that years ago. Even friends of mine defended Bungie’s direction with the sunsetting, seasonal model, paid cosmetics, etc. Nobody could imagine Bungie sunset content just to sell it back to us in the future. “The seasonal model was supposed to keep the game fresh and prevent burnout throughout the year.” The loot chase became a checklist to unlock and the best looking armor was sold in the eververse store. We’ve officially slipped to the bottom of the slope with a smile on our face. Taking nearly 3 years off the game is the only thing that kept the game “fresh” for me. I hate the seasonal model for the time I’ve come back, as I figured I would when it was initially planned. I hate seeing weapons I earned years ago be unobtainable only to be sold back during seasons with minor changes. I hate that most of the in game armor you can earn pales in comparison to what is sold in the cash shop. But here we are.

Activision knows how to make game fun, Bungie knows how to kill game.

Editado por Cinderchar: 8/8/2023 2:51:31 PMI never once blamed Activision. Anyone who has ever been in a relationship knows it's both people when it goes sour. I do think what Activision said all those years ago does make sense now. I remember reading their investor meeting notes where they said Forsaken didn't bring enough players back. And we all thought that was crazy because I thought it was like 1.7 million or something like that, which seemed pretty high. But at what cost is now what we know. Ever since Forsaken Bungie has been on a tear making sure people know that overdelivering is not actually sustainable. And I think Activision knew that all those years ago -- that the ROI on Forsaken level content is not sustainable. 3 studios and massive burnout are not something that can be done yearly and what it feels like is needed to satisfy this player base. We all literally still compare everything Destiny to Forsaken when we have been told for 5 years that is not possible. Activision just knew all those years ago that the risk outweighed the reward. Bungie eventually went on to do just fine after they struggled for 2 full years and basically had to go F2P and Gamepass to sustain a player base to know being purchased by Sony. I just think Activision didn't want to roll the dice.

with the activision split we lost only one thing, getting pvp maps
-
20 RespuestasUmmmm….activision has been gone since like 2019 bud.
-
Yes most definitely Activision fault 😉😉😉🥴
-
2 RespuestasI bet after they split, will finally be able to go that mountain over there!!! They will also probably get dedicated servers and have a renewed focus on PvP. I am sure that Activision is just skimming off the top, and holding this game hostage.
-
3 RespuestasBungie hasn’t worked with Activision since 2018

1 RespuestaI get where you are coming from, but let's not forget that D2Y1 was a product of the Bungie/Activision partnership and that was absolute trash.
-
“ Bungie employees were popping champagne “ we know now it’s because they were about to not have to work anywhere near as hard anyone and but make more money
-
2 RespuestasAppreantly the only ppl left in the forums are the addicts that play nothing else. They NEED Bungie to be greedy. Man, what a day it will be when all these ppl have to detox or find another way to make it!!!

I hate to be the one to say it but destiny was better in the hands of Activision, notice how destiny started to get bad at forsaken (around the same time bungie and Activision split) now I'm not defending Activision but -blam!- things are looking grim since bungie went out on thier own then let Sony have a part in them 🤦♂️
-
7 RespuestasActivision dropped us years ago, Sony is their boss now.

Editado por The Krimzon Shadow: 8/7/2023 11:19:17 AMDude WHAT!?! Activison hasn't been a part of Destiny since sometime after Forsaken and before Shadowkeep. You are LITERALLY YEARS LATE.
-
2 RespuestasLet's be honest here Activision is terrible they didn't exactly contribute pure good. The reason Activision -blam!- off was because Bungie wasn't making enough money for em. Come on now

1 RespuestaDude, please upgrade from Internet Explorer 7. Next you will tell me a black man from Hawaii is running for president.

What I find funny is the way people revise history and reality in their head to suit their opinion. Both activision and Bungie have admitted that the transfer of IP was *forced* by activision. Bungie execs also stated they expected to be bankrupt within a year of the aquisition. Yeah. Bungie was real "excited" at being forced to buy out the IP. "Activision is responsible for Destiny being bad." No. Activision mostly had a hands off approach, they gave Bungie financial mandates of how much revenue they had to generate, how they accomplished that was Bungie's business. Every awful decision in the history of the game was bungie. Love the game, which I do, even if my love for it has become very stressed, or hate the game, which I can't blame you for. But don't revise what happened because it doesn't fit your opinion.

Editado por DragonKnight901: 8/6/2023 3:48:05 PMRule 1 of companies mate never trust them your an idiot if you trusted them in the first place, if they had a list you bet your -blam!- profit/money is number 1 on it.

Activision did nothing wrong
