Anti-consumerist practices, nickel-and-diming players, progressively asking for more when the quality of the game has become less.
My reverence and trust in this company has severely waned, alongside my enjoyment and dedication to the franchise.
The corporate greed is evident.

But... we are their customers. This is thier business.
-
If you can't afford $2 just say that
-
IF the majority of their customers took their business elsewhere, they would adjust their practices. So long as their product continues to sell, why would you expect much to change? It’s on the players, and for all of the complaining and crying and moaning this echo chamber of a forum participates in, the truth is that most of them continue to buy the product. It’s not complicated.

1 Respuestaplayers ARE customers.

Yeah, they’re a billion dollar company and we pay for the content they produce how the -blam!- do you expect them to treat you
-
What else did you think you were? Did you think buying there product obligates them to treat you like family or something, that's not how things work A company makes a product , a customer buys the product , repeat , they don't owe you special treatment or loyalty and vice versa If you think the product is inferior , then don't buy it, simple has that
-
Excuse me but you do realize that you're a consumer of their product? That makes you a customer. It makes all of us customers. They don't owe us anything. We chose to buy their product time and again. By now fans know darn well what the Hades their getting when they preorder or buy the DLCs and seasons. If you no longer value their product. Don't make future purchases. It's on the consumer to make that choice and the company making the product won't change their methods unless they lose enough profit. Even then all of the employees at Bungie are people and not robots. Their not here to do the bidding of the fans. Their job is to follow the creative vision of their collective bosses and make a product.
-
Bungie is a business. Their main purpose is to make money. Making good games is secondary. Pleasing customers is further down the line. It's just the way of the world.
The corporate greed is evident.
Wake up peeps! They are not your friends. They will suck you dry, even if you become a beggar on the street, they will not look twice to give you scraps. These guys can’t do squat anymore to save this empty game. If they could, they would have done it already. At the end of the day, the only thing that counts is the cash they count. From you! But you will be a nobody to them. They are not your friend, your money is. Corporate greed? Yeah, you’re just scratching the surface. Bwahahahahahaha! Welcome to hollowness!

Editado por TheShadow: 5/6/2023 2:44:22 PM
Bungie are treating players purely as “customers”
That's because you guys allow it, but refuse to look at the truth that you guys are doing it to yourselves. I've seen hundreds of posts like this, but you guys just keep throwing money at them "hoping things will get better", falling for the BS that this business has said many times "We will do better next time". How many times are you guys going to fall for that BS before you wake up to reality that things will not get better and this business is literally lying to your face?

Bungie aren’t our friends. Destiny isn’t an exercise in altruism, utilitarianism, benevolence philanthropic endeavor to provide the best game money can make, fully enjoyable and playable to anyone of any financial means. Destiny is a vessel to make money. We ARE customers. Our relationship with Bungie is transactional. You want all the new story, you have to pay for it. You want all the new activities, you have to pay for it. You want all the new weapons and cosmetics, you have to pay for it. I’m not saying the price increase or even the way they’re doing the price increase is good. But you should not be confused about your relationship to Bungie and what they’re primary goal is. The same reason we all have jobs and go to work. To make money.
-
What did you expect? Anything Bungie does, it's for profit. Same as any other company. Anything they do to LOOK like good people is just that. A publicity stunt. Like that one guy who got the prototype of jade rabbit because he had brain surgery.

6 RespuestasI feel they’re just milking their player base as much as possible before ditching the title.
-
Maybe ask for more allowance?
-
In other news, water is wet.

We ARE customers. You think any company gives a rats -blam!- on longevity or loyalty, nope, not one little bit. The only thing they all care about is your wallet, some are just more blatant about it than others.

Always remember that. We can all meme around and joke, but corps gonna corp.

13 RespuestasAre you serious? How did you expect them to treat you?
-
They're a business not your nanny.
-
Technically, we are just customers. We’d be more if the developers took the time to actually visit each of us separately, and bring chicks and booze
-
Why do so many people think Bungie is a charity or their personal friend or something?
-
Uh that’s cause players are customers
-
1 RespuestaWell that’s…a lot of businesses now days. Tell me one that actually treats you like you’re family or a friend (excluding small businesses). You/me/us we’re JUST (sometimes less than) consumers to them. Nothing more. If you aren’t in influencer or someone they feel could pull crowds of people in you’re nobody.
-
Have you written them, asking them to be your friend?
-
Agree with you on all points. But, your title is kinda....naive. I don't know where you got the idea that Bungie didn't consider you as just a customer until now. But, glad your eyes are finally opened to how the world works. All you can control is how you react.
