Gareth Coker’s end credits song for ark survival put any of these under the bus….here are the criteria for good video game music. 1: absolutely NO LYRICS (I don’t mean no vocals) 2: video game music should never be just noise. Like what’s going on with lightfall. 3: it needs to be immersive. The super smash bros ultimate theme: not immersive Halo five “light is green”: absolutely immersive. The music gives adrenaline rush, and just sounds awsome. 4: no violin solos…I hate that 5: one of Marty O’Donnells big mistakes were his percussion lnstruments. It doesn’t give to the bass of the music…
