I might be painting a target on my back by saying this, but I don't like the idea of the base level strike difficulty changes. If you want to make like nightfalls more difficult, go for it. I'm totally cool with them being a bit more challenging. However, I feel like there is a time and a place for a challenge. The only 2 things I use the strike playlist for is 1) weekly pinnacle and 2) farming kills for catalysts. I'm not really looking for a challenge. I just want to turn my brain off and get some catalyst progress on whatever gun I happen to be using. If I wanted something more challenging, then I'd run up a GM. I don't have a problem with some content being super easy, because sometimes that's all I'm really looking for. tl;dr, Nightfalls are the place to have a challenging experience, not the basic strike playlist.

21 RespuestasThe only ones who like this idea are content creators. Which Bungie caters too. They need more content that’s “watchable”.

2 RespuestasI think making the game harder and nerfing resilience at the same time is a step to far

4 RespuestasPeople in this thread don’t understand that the problem is not the difficulty but the incentive. Is it fun to run strikes that are a joke in terms of difficulty? No. But why is that? Because the rewards are weapons that literally no one wants, sometimes they’re even sunset lol. People dash through strikes to get weekly pinnacles. They force you to play this nonsense to level up, which is bad enough. Making it harder just makes it more annoying. Maybe add loot that is actually usable? Or make the loot based on performance or time or something. Make it interesting and worthwhile. Imagine running all those old strikes with horrible loot and then you get your butt kicked by dregs. If that’s your definition of fun, you’re playing the right game.

The difficulty change isn't even going to change Vanguard Ops all that much. It's just a slight power decrease.

4 RespuestasPLEASE don't overthink this. At most, the increase is going to be what Heist Battlegrounds is now. They are not going to be that different.

4 RespuestasEditado por LilBlkCloud: 2/25/2023 2:45:57 AMDude, why. Strikes are currently god mode with invincibility and one-shots. That’s fun for you? Oh, you just prefer it that way for your farming. Sorry, but your odd personal preference for god mode won’t ever take precedence over strikes being easy mode BORING for most of us. God almighty, that you would prefer it the way it is now is mind-boggling. It’s worse than watching paint dry because at least when watching paint dry I can doze off now and then. With this stupidly easy strike playlist I have to actually follow along or get kicked. Yawning while one-shotting everything, including bosses. Holy hell, it’s so bad. That’s not gaming. It has all the appeal of the summer retail jobs of my teens.

Bullet spongy means that primary weapons will feel terrible again. And who wants to run a primary exotic or the modifier weapon all the time??? This dev team is trash.

It's like people can't read... You will have no light disadvantage or advantage. Meaning it's still gonna be easy, but if you play like a bot and walk into a wall with a boss behind you... You're gonna die

Paragraphs my guy

It's not going to be a challenge. At least not to anyone who can walk and chew gum at the same time. If you can't do that then I have very unfortunate news...
-
its changing from Easy to Normal mode not much of a difference

14 RespuestasEditado por X-LoganX: 2/25/2023 12:56:23 AMIT'S NOT GOING TO BE THAT DIFFICULT!! People simply are not going to be able to speed run through enemies any more. Bungie wants people engaged in the game not take easy ways out. Play the F'ing game as it's meant to FFS.

I think the worst part of these changes are it feels like options have been taken away from the player. I personally don’t like to go much past Legend difficulty on activities because I don’t like doing content severely under leveled.
-
Do patrols for catalysts, at least there you can avoid other players stealing your kills
-
There needed to be a change, certain content was unplayable due to players being too over leveled. However, in typical Bungie fashion, they’ve over corrected. I think it’s time power level went away. Just let Bungie turn the dial up when they want to make content challenging.

If they make it difficult like standard strikes in Destiny 1 (they was harder then current). I'm OK with that. But. We know they will fail because we know what (it's not mistake) working in game now.

I doubt 99% of players would notice the power level disabled in v.ops.
