As the topic says, I find it weird that we have to get 5 Red Borders just to get access to 1 CRAFTED weapon. Yes I understand it’s to pad out play type and make us grind out the game but at the same time I believe it’s WAY too long of a grind to get red borders as it stands for 1 weapon. We should only have to get 2-3 borders to unlock the pattern for it that way it lessens the amount of time we have to spend doing the grind for certain weapons each week. This may be me but I only see red border drops for weapons I don’t care about and yess there’s focusing, but what’s the point if I have to wait 5 weeks for 1 weapon?
If I don’t respond, I’m probably asleep but I do want to engage and get opinions on this.

1 RespuestaAll things considered I think that five is perfectly fine. At the end of the day you’re acquiring those red borders to craft the exact 5/5 roll that you want and with enhanced perks so the trade off is worth it. There are world drops like Funnel and Staccato that I’ve been chasing since they were released and I have yet to get the exact rolls that I’m looking for. That’s months upon months of drops and focusing Umbrals with zero results. Within that time frame though I have acquired the patterns for countless raid, dungeon, and seasonal weapons and I’ve fully crafted countless perfect rolls for myself. The only thing that I think needs to change is setting up all obtainable patterns the way the current seasonal patterns work so that you actually get red borders that you need and not duplicates for patterns that you’ve already unlocked.

Editado por rZI3: 1/19/2023 12:51:19 AMI think 5 is fine, maybe increase drop chance or maybe remove deep sight (not weapon) from your deep sight pool (that’s if we actually have one, assuming not..) if you’ve acquired the pattern…. at a push.. but honestly, it’s not to easy to acquire them and not that hard, seems fine for a looter shooter Whereas the grind doesn’t feel bad at all, given I get to choose my actual roll and able to change it when I choose, maybe dungeon ones are harder to come by, which makes me wonder why the new dungeon doesn’t have any… But I’m fairly happy on the grind (and I do play casually these days, but have most of the patterns minus a few I wanted out of those available), though at times it’s meh getting one drop that you’ve already acquired a pattern for.. could be better I guess and could be worse at the same time..

No, you get 5 of a weapon and never need it again Just like in Raids i have all of Vows weapons crafted, why do i need to ever run that raid again? I have every gun and it’s possible god rolls. Crafted Guns are the pinnacle of weapons in the game
-
1 RespuestaNo. It would be dumb if you could craft a weapon after the first red border. It shouldnt be super easy to craft god rolls This is a looter shooter
-
3 RespuestasIf weapons are too easy to attain, it undermines the loot chase, which was always a risk with crafting Needing to grind for red weapons is a compromise between getting what we want and grinding
-
1 RespuestaOnly in the sense that 5 is an arbitrary number. 3 sounds nice and round.
-
1 RespuestaNo. I find it 'weird' players spend so much time and energy to craft a weapon that, aside from the slight benefit the enhanced perk gives over the normal version, is WORSE than a prestige 4 weapon from a vendor(multiple selectable perks)
-
4 RespuestasWish they would’ve kept it at 3 red borders
-
4 RespuestasI still can't craft either of the Duality weapons since their drop rate is absurdly low, and you need so many of them.

Editado por The Hermit IX: 1/18/2023 12:53:44 PMIt’s not difficult to get the deep sights for most weapons. All you need to do is play and they eventually drop. I just crafted IKELOS SMG and it’s brilliant. All I had to do was play the season. I do understand some deep sights are more difficult to get but that’s part of the game and rarity with certain things.
-
1 RespuestaNo, it’s Bungie. Their goal is to get people to stay on the game through artificial grinds.
-
1 RespuestaThey can keep it that way. I don’t bother with it. If I happen to get them, great, if not, don’t give a -blam!-. They take forever to level and then you have to farm a rare drop resource to get the enhanced perks. It’s just not an enjoyable system. It’s probably the most non crafting crafting system I have seen. I would appreciate it if they would just start over.

I find it a grind, and to be honest, the weapons that you can shape aren't even that good if you ask me. I shaped a few and gave up because it wasn't worth the effort.
-
It should be 3 at most
-
1 RespuestaI agree but also there are too many craftable weapons imho.
-
It took me all last week to get the seraph weapons but the other set of weapons gonna take a minute to get
-
Yep. I’m still missing 1 more red border which I can’t seem to get it to drop. I feel more like quitting destiny just cuz it feels way too grindy and boring.
-
I wouldn’t mind getting 5 if the drop rate wasn’t so abysmal. You have better luck getting a god roll than the pattern for a lot of weapons
-
No. I think it's about right. Maybe 7 would be better tbh
-
4 RespuestasDid you forget that crafting wasn’t supposed to replace RNG? You literally get to craft the weapon you’d like. Stop thinking everything needs to be so easy to do. It’s a looter shooter. Play the game ffs.
-
1 Respuestanot really, without that d2 will go back to year 1 experience
-
2 RespuestasI don't know that "weird" is the word I'd use, but I'm of the opinion that RNG is frustrating and EVERY last thing in the game should have a direct path to obtaining it. I feel like with the red border focusing of the seasonal weapons over the last few seasons is a good step in the right direction, it is by no means an efficient way to get them all. And that system is still not in activities like Dares of Eternity. IMO, if Bungie did away with the power/pinnacle grind, then pinnacle drops could be replaced with red border deepsight weapons, and that would be a much more engaging grind for me. Even after all the weapons were crafted, the deepsight could still be used for materials or something. I don't know, I'm just spitballing ideas, and it's not like I want to design the game for them.
-
1 RespuestaIt would be beneficial if the required patterns varied between different activities. New raids- 5 Old raids like DSC- 3 Permanent playlist like dares- 5 Seasonal activities-3 To be fair I prefer being able to craft what I want with effort as opposed to the mercy of RNG where I may never get what I want after 50 attempts.

1 RespuestaEditado por Dopefriik: 1/17/2023 3:39:31 PMTo put it bluntly, part of your problem is your expectations vs your input. I’m not saying that you need to no-life the game, but your play history doesn’t really reflect that of somebody trying to earn red frames. You don’t appear to have even tried farming the seasonal activity and have zero completions of the legendary version. You haven’t completed a single Master Wellspring, which pretty much throws those red frames at you. Perhaps you should consider that weapon crafting might be a feature that was aimed at you. Edit: typo
-
2 RespuestasSeems fair, considering every subsequent drop of a weapon after you craft it becomes useless outside of infusion.
-
1 RespuestaEh I don't mind. The five red borders get you a guaranteed weapon that you have control over, no further grinding for rolls, just leveling up xp. I'd say it's a small price to pay for control over your gear. Now as for the drop rate...
