How much are they paying you to come in here and say that?

Destiny had really good gunplay, and its class abilities were really fun. I also like hoverbikes, so that was fun, too. All of that I would indeed say was better than Halo. However, the game’s structure is what killed it. You run the exact same missions repeatedly, trying to get rare loot drops, which got tedious real quick. Its mission structure also resulted in fewer awesome moments like taking down a Scarab, or Banshee sections. Destiny also had a very fast ttk, which led to more annoying insta-kill situations against bosses and whatnot, which was bleh. But even with all of that, the game was still passable—its real problem comes in its business model. Live service games suck. They try to monopolize your time, and make you feel bad for doing literally anything else. Like, oh, you want to play CrossCode this week? Well, you just missed out on your weekly rewards! Then, top that with overpriced DLCs that did not have enough content for their price tag*, and no. It started to feel like a job, or a nasty addiction that I had to shake.
Just, as some context here; Destiny’s expansions were about $25, yeah? A new campaign that only had 4-5 missions, and a new raid. Many of those missions even took place in existing areas. Conversely, Mario Kart 8 added a DLC for $25 that literally doubled the amount of content in the game. Skullgirls added a $25 DLC that increased its roster size by nearly 1/3rd. CrossCode added a DLC that was about as big as I remember Destiny DLCs being, and it only charged $9. It sucked.
Halo is not a perfect shooter, but at least I could put it down and play something else without feeling guilty about it.

Live service games are basically half baked MMOs. Like, if you're going to make a tedious and repetitive gameplay loop at least commit to doing it properly.

halo had a neat campaign and customs were fire but other than that it got old quick and no the mcc customs playlist does not count it’s NOT THE SAME

Sounds like a lie that a Ninja would say, Ninja bias...
