half of it was fine but too much recycling even the boss WAS taniks with another skin

This mission was a way to teach solo player raid mechanics. They also bring up lore implications on who and what we're fighting for. So yeah for seasonal content I expect much of the same old assets used. I draw the line on reused assets during big expansions.

5 RespuestasI never even went where ever the "original content" was anyway, so I had never seen any of it. It's weird some of you will run a Strike 12 BILLION TIMES and put up with it, but should a CORRIDOR get re-used somewhere, it's a mortal sin. Try playing Warframe. Every map in the game is "recycled" from the same 20+ Tiles that are just put together like some weird Quilt that also contains things that want to murder you.

2 RespuestasDo you yell at construction workers when all the streets around your neighborhood look like recycled content?

5 RespuestasEditado por Twist Ledgendz: 12/22/2022 12:42:32 AMI'm sorry but you are DEAD WRONG. 1. The station is a carbon copy of the crypt because they were both built by the braytech corporation and are essentially built from prefabs to look and function the exact same bar what they are actually used for... So it makes more sense why it's exactly like deep stone crypt. 2. The BOSS is reused because if you had opened up your ears you'd actually hear the reason why the boss had returned... Its actually a very interesting lore topic on why he came back. And what's funny is, you think that boss is Taniks... Its not, its one of eramis's lieutenants we killed in beyond light. 3. The effort put into this mission is to be celebrated... The design team went above expectations and the Skybox team WENT HAM. They admittedly did the whole traveler being inconsistent size wise but that Skybox alone is amazing. 4. This is the most important part. The "ReCyClEd CoNtEnT" is literally used in brand new ways and taken to a whole new level improving on stuff massively To conclude. You are just wrong, this mission is fantastic and deserves praise.

It wont help you to be heard, or to make your point. Gunship

4 RespuestasYou probably complained about the Leviathan coming back too didn't you? This is seasonal content my dude, not Shadowkeep.

2 RespuestasEditado por The Hermit IX: 12/22/2022 8:52:44 PMMission is awesome so yeah there’s that. These posts are hysterical. It’s like the angry minority are upset people are enjoying something so they run to the forums to post drivel like this.

The boss was literally a reused boss and you couldn’t even get that right?
Also all fallen bosses are generally the same
I am on the side that most exotic missions are pretty mundane for me and this one was no different however it was a fun mini DSC for those who don’t raid and honestly, for a mission, it was fine. Reused stuff is not that big of a deal if it’s in the game already. Now reusing Mars but telling us that it’s in the DCV is a bit frustrating.
-
So a station built by Braytech shouldn't share assets with another station built by Braytech? Yeah, literally no company would ever do that. Makes plenty of sense that Braytech would streamline production of assets. This was a fun mission and the reuse of assets works lore-wise as well

One question
Do your eyes work?
You don't even have your bosses right, tell me you skip through the story without telling me

2 RespuestasFurthermore - Remember when only a year ago we used to pay for a dungeon and get what was in the dungeon? Those days are over. Now we pay for a dungeon for a 2% chance to get things from it! I'm done with these scumbag gambling tactics. This was a great game, now it's ganshin gotcha game. How low have they fallen. So frkn pathetic...

While I think it's easy to jump on the bandwagon to support this complaint, and I myself have been guilty of being on said bandwagon, it's really not reasonable to expect developers to create game assets to just use once.
-
wait until this man figures out his body recycles genetic code or that his keyboard/phone reuses assets from other keyboards/phones
-
It's bungie, what did you expect
-
Yep reskinned taniks room but the final boss was not Tanikis it was the machine fallen god prakis
-
Bray facilities have a certain architecture. Thats not recycled content. Also, Taniks is too OP to die.
-
Lol, so busy complaining and griping that you didnt seem to notice, as many have stated, that wasnt Taniks, dude. That was Praksis. It was even stated as such in the mission dialog 🤣! Less whine, more shine.

Editado por ACROCANTHUS: 12/22/2022 1:51:02 AMDude. The mission was amazing. There's nothing wrong with using mechanics from 1 part of a game in another. The boss was praksis and he was added because of huge story implications.

Majority of the mission was completely new and the reused assets were changed a lot.

2 RespuestasYou're actually just not right. The vast majority of playspace in the new mission is originally created, with the same aesthetic as the original orbital platform around Europa. Unless you're talking about reused box and computer assets, to which I'd suggest to stop looking at your screen entirely. The boss isn't even Taniks. It's Praksis, who has been revived as a scorn, which is a HUGE plot point. If you're talking about the Harpy in SOTW, sure it's reused, but it thematically fits and functions perfectly for the encounter. They had to make adjustments to more than just visuals to get it to work in the encounter. Imagine all the Work of the programmers to make sure it actually goes to the right place at the right time, doesn't fall off the map trying to track the player, etc. It's NOT as easy as a copy and paste.
-
My only complaint is that this should of come out a long time ago. I imagine it as a beginner guide to DSC. Learn the roles, get comfortable with switching and memorizing fast. And why not for the hell of it give out a DSC weapon at the end, like once per character.

This mission was great stop bugging.
