I change my mind. The event fell flat on its face.
Original post: [spoiler]I don’t know, fam. The idea that the community as a whole is helping improve the Eliksni Quarters is [i]so cool[/i] to me. Seeing some new assets in the Quarters is awesome, and something I personally wanted to see for a while (especially after watching that Eliksni work on their garden for the entirety of Season of the Blunder). Broombots are sweeping up the place with an Eliksni, and there’s an Eliksni and humans at the bar, like what!
I’m usually extremely vocal about my displeasures when it comes to Destiny content. Yeah, the grind to rake up the Captains Coins is tiring, but I’m actually enjoying it because I am excited to see the end result. This is SO COOL. I love it. To be honest, I want to see more events like this where we can all get together to work towards a goal.

Edit: Now that we’ve reached 400,000,000, I just want to say that overall I’m thrilled at all the cool new stuff. But even more amazed that we’ve reached it so fast, wtf. 🤣

[b]Final verdict:[/b] After extensively talking to other players and close friends of mine, I’ve decided that I’ve changed my mind. While I like seeing the changes in the Quarters, I realize that Bungie could and SHOULD have done more. 400,000,000 Captains Coins/map fragments for the bare minimum? Dang, son. Are blankets really that expensive? I think Spider might be up to something.
tl;dr- OP becomes jaded and crotchety again after realizing the Eliksni Quarters wasn’t all that special. Minimal effort and fake coins paid for hot garbage, so we got what we paid for—not all [i]that[/i] mad about it.

6 RespuestasI actually like this event too. Just a bit confused, as I have 6 of 7 rewards.collected despite obtaining them all. Maybe its just a bug, maybe i shouldnt have used planetary materials for it, I dont know. Maybe I need ti buy a box to obtain the seventh one. i have no clue

Not just suddenly during the last two weeks, just doing random whatevers to drop coins in a box. Also, the improvements are pretty lame. I was hoping for an actual change not just new stairs, rails, and boxes. The area looks the same and I bet someone that took the whole season off wouldn't notice the difference before and after.

1 RespuestaI think events like this are cool. However, every event requires you to do the same thing. Farm core playlist and grind the same content over and over. Fixing up the home for the fallen! Cool! Doing the same thing I’ve done for 5 years… pass…

A stair case Dementia ridden Warmind Sweeper bots (They are built for fighting not cleaning) 2 paintings just thrown on the ground 3-4 people in bar 2-3 guards Some favella buildings in the background 6 benches Some plants Wow, what an amazing improvement we made the eliksni ghetto slightly more cluttered. Where is the paved streets? Where is the actual housing? Why are they still living in run down buildings? The rest of the city is not like this except for places that humans don't really live now but the rest of the city is paved streets and nice buildings and the Eliksni after 400 million space coins got a Fallout Settlement (I've seen cleaner fallout settlements lol).

While I got a ghost IDGAF about, the Eliksni Quarter still looks like a -blam!- hole! 😐 That aside, the real kicker to this event, IMO, is the fact that there was such a huge loophole to generate coordinates by simply pressing a single button that allowed the community to hit the goal so quickly. Hell, it could have been a single guardian with some macro who contributed to 99% of it. I guess that's what you get for a free event, but it's honestly so classic Bungie, it's funny. No doubt they have the A, B, C, & D teams scrambling on Lightfall, and the E team had the honor of building this event. It's all good though...

I’m not playing old activities like a hamster for almost no change in the eliksni quarter, a place that I never visit.

I am glad that you are enjoying it. That is what the game is all about. I do not mind the idea of what Bungie was trying to do. What I do have a problem with is that its the same activities we have been playing all season. Bungie didn't add a new event or add new gear (Weapons Armor Set) to help draw players to the event.
