Bungie has proved their incompetence yet again. Do you see CS GO having SBMM in their ranked offering? No, because the rank is supposed to determine your skill. Absolutely horrible twab.

2 RespuestasRank can be as meaningless as skill in a game where people can be carried or pay for acc recoveries. Your idea is no better.

It's just stupid and people don't get it, rbmm is the same as sbmm, but it actually shows who plays in which bracket, now you can't clearly tell in which skill brackey you are. We had RBMM in season 3-7 and because it only rewarded good players people cried about it. Now even if rewards on high brackets are only be cosmetical people are still going to cry about it. That's probably why Bungie made it that way. I still don't get it why this game has so many casual players, it's a looter shooter and it basically isn't even grindy at all nowadays, nothing to chase

1 RespuestaLike how are you surprised? Its Bungie why would they match you by your rank. Gotta match you by skill in every Playlist. It's cringe the lengths Bungie goes to hand out bad players weapons that are suppose to be for a competitive playlist.

2 Respuestasoh no a REAL ranked system have sbmm

10 RespuestasHow can you even think you deserve the highest rank possible if you don't find people who are at your skill level???
-
9 RespuestasIt...makes perfect sense? You get matched with opponents of similar skill. You win, they lose, skill adjusted. As opposed to more rank automatically = more skill which is outright false. You get accurately placed on the ladder as opposed to being outranked by players like me with more time than skill.

6 RespuestasI wouldn’t use csgo as an example of a good ranked mode
-
2 RespuestasShould probably wait and see how it works first. Capital S Skill plus the placement and ranking system could turn out well.
-
5 RespuestasHow else can you hand out max rank to everyone? We have to make this -blam!- inclusive so that everyone and their grandma can be ascendant.

As a proponent of SBMM I find this kind of puzzling too. A ladder style ranked system IS a SBMM system. I almost wonder if it’s coming from a place where they don’t want to make rewards or status that only 10% can really attain. Because some players won’t be ok with topping out at silver or gold. Dividing up divisions either with SBMM doesn’t make any sense when the higher skilled players in Control already struggled to find stable games. Nobody should be accidentally getting into Adept or Ascended divisions. Though I do think there will be some in divisions thanks to the people they play with regularly. So they may struggle in their division when playing solo. And as long as rewards are cosmetic nobody should get into Ascended just because of time sunk.

17 RespuestasSBMM is already in comp. Nothing changing with the new system. Complaining without knowledge = ignorance

2 RespuestasI get your point but at least there's placement matches with sbmm first so the rank your place in should correspond with your skill
