This sounds pretty bad. Imagine getting a crap team multiple matches going up against 6 stacks and you get 0.9 kd and its not your fault but get suspended? That system though sounds nice on paper, is flawed.

I'm sure Bungie could implement a "Crucible Suspense Forgiveness" for massively unbalanced sides - i mean, they want you to get beat down in those scenarios because you are unable to leave that match so there would have to be a give and take

What about people who are aren’t that good? They are trying to get better but keep getting punished making it hard and aggravating. This system is flawed as there are to many variables to make it fair. Bungie could pour resources into more important things.
nibbles crayon
Then they should stay only in Control SBMM at their level or Rumble were they can't negatively impact their other teammates experience. Everyone seems to be cheering banning anyone who backs out because "How dare they ruin the gaming experience of the teammates they left behind?!" How selfish! From a player experience, that's the only instance that negatively impacts a players enjoyment? That 12% time that someone leaves?
-
Backing out is a choice Being of lower skill isnt. Thats the difference, one is a deliberate choice to negatively impact others hence why the punishment was introduced.
-
Or as the PvE people will tell you - KWTD or Kicked!
-
It is a deliberate choice for a lower skilled player to step outside the comfort of their cushy SBMM made lobbies with the other .3's and go into "endgame" PvP and tank other people. And as such, they should be held accountable and banished to rumble island where they can only harm themselves.

Yes but how are they going to get better at survival by playing control? It’s trial and error. That’s how we all learned. We failed so we adjusted our play style and load outs. Remember it’s just a game and you’re going to lose sometimes.
nibbles crayon
I understand it's just a game, and you should have a place to be able to play how you want, with what weapons you want, leave when you want to etc... But that's not the Destiny 2 Quickplay gaming world we live in now, is it? This is Destiny 2 Competitive Quickplay and you'll have to step up to the firing line and hold your own or get out. Just as a reference, this post is loaded with sarcasm, I was fine with the way PvP was beforehand lol
