Dang how many hunter mains are in this game?
Every time I go into pvp (which is a mistake) all I see are hunters every where rolling and jumping around using cheap tactics lol. Is there a way to pull the numbers for each class based on playtime? I must know the percentages because it’s seems overwhelmingly unbalanced.

I know its about 60% to like 66%. Its really bad, the only times that number falls is when warlocks or titans have something OP or really good about them. For example back when geomags were good, the warlock population was a bit higher than normal. The funny thing is the geomags were exactly the same for years before people finally realized how good they were. Was geomags broken? No, it only felt that way because hunters were running around with the most busted thing in the game at the time “shatterdive”.

2 RespuestasI can quite literally spam barricade walls before the other one expires with max resilence on a Titan while getting the added benifits of resilience and stasis resistance. Fun fact the Solar Helm on. Titan gives healing when casting barricade too. Or Just double overshield on a Void Titan and give the whole Team overshields and walk into any area you want safe from everything except Supers and Heavy ammo. On Warlock I can not only air dodge and fly over opponents for aiming down, but can then immediately duck behind cover and sit in a well and get overshielded while healing and shooting in corner/valuable lanes. Yes on hunter the dodge is faster and more spammy. But it does not stop you from getting hit from the bullets. I die more in dodge than just regular straffing most of the time. The only reason dodge is strong right now is 1 of 2 things. Omnioculous or Classy Restoration. And lets be real Classy resoration is being spammed by All three classes, that stack better with Barricade/Well more than it does with dodge in most scenarios. Omnioculous is the only item that makes invis worth running in pvp. Otherwise its just a weak gimmick. Shotguns are what should be nerfed because 90% of the time Omni is used its because its being used to one shot everyone with shotty's Hunter just has a cool name and cool aesthetics with flashy gunslinger/western vibes that almost anyone can vibe with. Titans and Warlocks are fun but more specifc to what appeals to players in general.

21 RespuestasUsing cheap tactics? Like shields that block incoming damage AND give your whole team overshields? Or putting down rifts to heal and send Satan Himself (CoOG) at you? All classes have abilities. None are more cheap than any other.

I will gladly switch invis to have unlimited overshields and/or have the ability to hover over every gun fight for the entire match.

So if theirs 1 million titans and lock out their combined theirs atleast 2mill hunters. Its a good thing though if you play titan or warlock, bungie has often used this as a reason not to nerf some overtuned game play design till a much later date as where hunter get retuned by the end of that season is not sooner. "Its OK for an under played/represented class to be over tuned, its when it becomes the majority we bungie will put our collective foot down", Examples of this were OEM and double icarus dash or for non-game play balance related the first guardian games...... 3.4 medals to one hunter medal....... These things got to be in the game for well over a year only because of the low player representation. |=uck that fact that TTD literally outperformed stasis before any nerfs.

Don’t get me wrong there are more Hunters than Warlocks or Titans but I personally haven’t seen the amount that people around here tend to say. I feel like if the PvP population was 50 to 80% Hunters it would practically mean that find Warlocks or Titans would be pretty rare. In my case they don’t seem all that rare given that I’m playing with and against multiple Warlocks and Titans a game. However I can only speak for myself I guess. Personally, I just tend to stick with whatever class I pick first in any game. That’s how I am in pretty much all the games I play. I’ll choose something that looks cool, and once I’ve finalized that choice I don’t switch. In the case of Destiny, that was Hunter. I picked it as soon as I saw blink for the first time I saw it in the trailer/Vidoc.
