Suggestion: 3 Seasons in an Expansion Year

So, when Destiny 2 Forsaken launched, it was the start of the seasonal model of content and storytelling. D2 Forsaken launched with Season of the Outlaw(which if I recall did not have. a whole lot of anything compared to how we get seasons now) Followed by Season of the Forge, Season of the Drifter, and finally Season of Opulence. Opulence wound up being a little longer due to delays for Shadowkeep's launch, I believe by a few weeks to a month(it's been a long time ok i cannot keep every destiny detail straight no matter how much i might like to) Shadowkeep launched with Undying, followed by Dawn, Worthy & Arrivals. Arrivals was notably longer due to production and release changes for Beyond Light, and also coincided with the pandemic hitting. Then Beyond Light launched with Hunt, Chosen, Splicer and finally Lost. Lost was an extra long season as well. We're now in The Witch Queen, two seasons in and two more on the horizon. Considering the historic delays, and also the move to having seasonal content stay for the related expansion's year, I'm wondering if any other players or Bungie developers have thoughts about having 3 seasons per expansion, versus the usual 4. Bungie does love 3s, think about it: 3 classes, 3 light types, 3 choices for character building ;D I also find myself enjoying longer seasons like Lost & Arrivals & Opulence - there's less pressure if I miss a day or a week of play, less of that dreaded FOMO. As I also main all 3 classes, it gives me more time to do things on all characters, along with everything else in my life. Plus, if newer players join they theoretically would be able to catch up and experience things without quite as much time pressure(unless of course they start a literal week before an expansion launch). Now, granted, I know this is a live service game and the seasons tie into generating revenue, and I definitely want Bungie developers to get their due payment for the wonderful work they make. But I also wonder if this would relieve some pressure - the video game industry is rife with stories of abuse and crunch and Bungie itself is not immune, though does seem to be doing better in recent years compared to its Halo past, and even D1 and D2's early years. Obviously I don't know all the development plan and financial details, I don't work for Bungie, and who knows how it is now that they're part of Sony. I don't even know if posting on these forums will do anything! :D But I wanted to say it as a D2 player. I'm just one voice out of - let's see, I think we're at millions of Guardians now? Thanks for reading all this rambling. 💜
