Crucible is sweat fest
I used to enjoy crucible in D1, enough time to aim n shoot. Now, crucible is like guardians on rocket skates, players are sliding, appears from nowhere and time to kill is in Milli seconds.
My KD was around 1.3 but lately (past 4 months) after a year long break, PvP is punishing me. I’m always at the bottom, less than 1 KD, any weapon I use seems useless, opponents slip away almost all the time but I cannot do the same. I see an opponent n I’m dead, same weapon but 2 shot kill. There is no time for 1v1, I’m always against 1v many. I feel like I’m playing a different PvP game. Wish I could record my game, make a clip of all that I explained n share.

The only ones enjoying this system are the ones who dont want the game to change because they are thriving in it due to months and years of practice. This is why when Hand Cannons range was reduced, the game felt balanced for once because they were not operating outside of their archetypal design. Now fast forward to now, 120s dont even feel good because they lack reload speed aligned with best option 140 Hand Cannons reaching ranges that are designed for 120s. You couple that with how flinch favors burst or high damage versus constant damage over time and you got yourself a failure of balance. This is why Pulse Rifles have remained decent for pretty much the entire life cycle of D2 while ARs despite being basically the same orientation of weapons but with a constant ROF application fall short. Pulse Rifles are the complete all in one weapons because they have the range to compete against most archetypes in game and the versatility that other weapon should have or dominate with. The balance overall is all messed up because Bungie put too much emphasis in addressing working as intended concepts versus non working as intended.

It is the the awful sandbox team an the complete unbalance of PvP. We are in a 2 year hand cannon shotgun meta. Broken easy to use one shot weapons. Lag, matchmaking and lobby balance all killing what used to be fun. These guys just don’t have the talent or leadership to make it a balanced/healthy mode and in fact are making it worse.

If you took a year break, what did you think would happen? Did you think you'd come back and some how be better. Skills get dull if you don't maintain them and playing other shooters doesn't translate skill to another shooter since there is typically different mechanics and stats under the hood.

Most of the players in Control and IB are below average. I would say at least 50% of them. If you are having a hard time getting kills in these modes it's a skill issue.

The game is 7 years old the tactic are know but most players that’s prbly why you have a hard time right now, and also the fov change make movement more key then ever. But I hope you still can find fun in it tho

I haven’t played pvp in a while due to being burnt out on destiny 2 and gave it a break and when I came back recently I thought I’d do some iron banner and I actually enjoyed playing pvp because of this , now I go into quick play for the for time and holy -blam!- the sides were lopsided as skill goes and it’s like this Nonstop. It’s one side getting curb stomped by a clear mile in every match. Pvp cbmm is a pure mess and needs to be fixed asap.

1 RespuestaEven Mayhem is now. Its totally pointless, it was a normal place to just have fun and create havoc. This season there is more kills with weapons than supers, I've actually had to put a weapon load out because that's how it is now.... just like any other shitty Crucible.

i mean i took a pvp break and it took me a while to get my mojo back but brain and thumb work good again after no monkey strats

Mouse and Keyboard against controller players is unbalanced and together with the fact that you can only turn crossplay off via console settings means that when you do that you can't find any other console players for a match. It is alos my understanding that there is no skill based matchmaking in standard games modes like control so these game modes are even more unbalanced then playing a competitive mode like Trials or Elimination. I could be wrong though.

It is a different game. However if you adjust to it you will have fun. I have fun but I play a lot of pvp soni understand it. For returning or new players it is a -blam!- show. The matchmaking is hot garbage and new players don't get much protection to even get their feet wet in the pvp sandbox. I visited my brother some time ago and his son had just started playing D2. With blue gear he was facing unbroken and flawless players. Total -blam!- show.

3 RespuestasIt's the mad increase of cheaters since bungie lost a court case against a cheat provider literally people are streaming vids from a few days ago using all latest hacks (great game but pvp is officially dead because of a device for console which plagues other pvp games aswell that gives aimbot and 1000rpm handcannons and alternative is software for pc that does the same, worst bit is only the pc side of it might die down becsuse its like 95% legal but the device for console 100 percent legit) What gets me is after this huge increase of cheats bungie still tell people to get 7 wins in a row in trials against these odds instead of 7 wins in a day

That's what it is. Bad connections add to it. When you're on bad side of connection better stay back and try to teamshoot. If you got the host, you can push all day. I don't know. 6 years and I'm still confused about it.

I been back since WQ dropped after a year break. It took me a week or two to retake my spot at the top of the PVP lobbies more times than not.😱, I played more passive in the beginning to relearn the recoil patterns and get a feel for the game speed again.
