They have a low skill floor and do a crap ton in those engagements for little input needed. They're not going anywhere short of being removed from the game.

The only meta shotguns right now is Lord of Wolves, Chaperone (even after a nerf) and slugs (especially on a controller). Other shotguns are now in an OK spot, even Rapid-fire fusions are now more oppressive

The problem with shotguns, special weapons in general, is that there is too much special ammo uptime. What's the point of calling it a "special" weapon if you can main it like a primary?

Unless they nerf melees shotguns will always be meta.

1 Respuesta1. Meta is a excuse to use what others say "is good". We are all different with different play styles so what works for one person may not work for you. Use what you want and what works for you not someone else. 2. The problem with shotguns is not the weapon but the players. Too many let others get too close go them either by running straight at opponents or letting them run up to you. As players keep on getting thst close people will chose a good VERY close combat weapon. If people started to think more about what they are doing and coming up with counters to shotgun users (simple really as you just have to keep that range open) then less players would use them.
