Grinding these Iron Banner bounties has only reminded me of how bad Crucible has been for a LONG time. Has Bungie thrown in the towel?
Remember when they actually invested in Crucible especially during D1? Sure, their “balancing” wasn’t always great, but they never stuck with the same stale meta the way they have lately. And we actually got new maps back then. Remember that? Seems like a distant memory.
I understand times have been trying. But WOW. Crucible has been bad for a long time. And it seems like it’s gonna stay that way.

Yes, yes they did. They’re working on a pvp game called matter. Which will probably tank, given they can’t fix a games pvp that they already have
-
It's pretty clear at this point that that's the case, yeah.

1 RespuestaIron Banner is Crucible at its worst. Period. Trials of all things, is more enjoyable than IB. Bog standard Crucible is better than IB. I dont understand why IB is so aggravating. I always ask myself each time it comes around; Is grinding out the bounties for the rewards really worth the pain? The answer is always no.

Editado por Raevenent: 3/19/2022 6:46:34 AMI'd honestly kill for some new maps, haven't played PvP in ages since the maps we currently have? If you've been playing since the game launched, and still have, you've basically played all the maps 101 times and then some. PvE gameplay's been getting better and better, and PvP? Feels like it's stuck in time. I would not be surprised if they did abandon PvP, the writing is kind of on the wall in it's current state.

4 RespuestasEven if Bungo did care more about Crucible, that's no guarantee that they would / could improve it. Look at Trials. So awful it was removed from the game for ages, so they could rework it and get it right. When it returned it was still abysmal, such that they had to rework it again. That really inspires confidence haha!

1 RespuestaPVP in this game is a disease. It is an unbalanced hot pile of steamy -blam!- 💩💩.
-
24 RespuestasThey never cared to begin with. Name a pvp game that been around since 2014 and barely made any positive improvements? Call of duty makes more positive changes to their games…. Destiny pvp is a JOKE the game is pure trash
-
Yes. I realize I'm terrible at ability spam destiny pvp, but iron banner is insufferable. It's always so lopsided I can't even get a super for the damn quest half the time.
-
god i hope so. pve needs to be less repetitive and boring.

Honestly, I still really enjoy my time in pvp. I love playing control and specially trials of osiris.
-
They gave up on Crucible 3 years ago when Weisnewski and Hamrick quit the company. Since then it's been left to rot.

1 RespuestaI wish they would honestly, they should just scrap Crucible and Gambit... I don't care for PVP personally, but I realize that people do love PVP. In my opinion this is not a PVP focused game and shouldn't be. PVP is a "fun" side activity, and at this point of the story overall PVP doesn't really make sense. And Gambit was a interesting concept at first, but it has had it's run and it's time to scrap it or come up with something new. There are far better PVP games out there and if Destiny 2 was PVE focused there would be soooo much more content to do and it would come quicker. Also, in my opinion they could pull a COD and make like a COD warzone but Destiny style. PVP stand alone game that's free to play and is a part of the Destiny universe, but not apart of the main game. Just my 2 cents anyway.
Has Bungie given up on Crucible?
God, I hope so.

5 RespuestasTake destiny for what it is and you’ll be a lot happier. Nobody will convince bungie to do better and it’s been proven people will pay, YouTuber will promote and bigger companies will extend life lines regardless of quality. Bungie isint made by the same people that made the game that got you hooked. Pvp is the only reason I kept playing for so long but bungie can’t be clearer. This past dlc is the best in a long time and yet falls so short. Pvp however peeked like 5 years ago.

2 RespuestasEditado por Unbreakable Patches: 3/16/2022 11:31:57 AMInvested in D1? Bro, the Crucible has always been a complete dumpster fire. You’re insane if you take Destiny’s PvP seriously. Also don’t see how you are gonna say the meta was never stale. It was some flavor of hand cannon or pulse rifle basically the entire time.

They gave up a very long time ago. No dedicated servers. No new maps. No competitive game modes. Destiny 2 pvp is the biggest joke of any fps pvp game I have ever played.
-
100% given up on crucible. When was the last new crucible map put out? Three years ago?
-
Yeah it's just getting worse. I don't blame Bungie though. The audience wants more wacky zany weapons and abilities, but are largely too myopic to see the long term effects.
-
I have fun, I run around with Mida and do pretty well
-
I hope they have.
-
I hope so. I play other games for PvP these days.
-
If they did I would like an official response so they can release a patch that can remove crucible from my game and save me some storage

Editado por Inferis101: 3/16/2022 5:28:31 PMThey don't care, even a little... That's how most of people feel nowadays. This braindead shotgun meta which can turn any player, regardless of skill into a virtual killing machine, and then having people parading about that... Mindboggling how sad the pvp has turned. There's so many things wrong in this game nowadays, Bungie parades about 'oh we fixed 2 bugs, celebration!' But what they didn't mention is that those 2 bugs are now replaced by 4 new ones. Yesterday I decided to track a few things wrong in pvp. From 25 grenade kills, I've died to 16 of them being outside of the damage radius. From 30 melees, a total of 21 whiffed... 21 out of 30!!!! From 15 games, 11 of them were contained with people rubberbanding everywhere, appearing, disappearing, then miraculously reappearing behind me.. From those 15 games, dodging into invisibility stuck me 4 times to invisible walls or 1 inch high rocks that would prevent me from moving in that direction. Not to mention the broken builds, the stupendously further unbalancing of builds. I mean, I main hunter, but having the ability to perma invis in pvp is just outright dumb and toxic. Then you have the braindead people who combine that with shotties and insta melt fusions... Like actually, how can you take anything serious with these stats.. With all the money bungie's making, you'd think they would have at least a half -blam!- decent team that CARES about that state of the game, but no... I still don't see it. Story wise Witch Queen has been on par, if not even better than The Taken King back in D1. They nailed it on that. But so much other than that is just piss poor coding, piss poor testing, piss poor caring about the game. It seems to only revolve around money, as usual when companies grow to a certain point financially.

I think so, it's sad but evidently true. It honestly could be saved and refreshed but no attempts have been made.
