The fact remains when it was in game matches were constantly close matches almost never a blow out and pvp felt alot better. Im not saying sbmm is the 100% answer but the matches were close it keot people engaged and coming back for more.

5 RespuestasSbmm was definitely better for me because I'm average at best. Hell you'd have to dedicate your life to pvp to be as good as some of these 4kd guys running around the crucible.

4 RespuestasThis IS NOT PURE CBMM. Yes 12 ppl are pulled from mm. BUT after players are found a Skill algorithm IS used to separate/ Divide the teams. And it’s completely BROKEN. We call it LOBBY BALANCING. And it’s a very real thing. Admitted by Bungie in a TWAB. That’s the reason for all the mercies. They’ve even tried to fix it but it created a glitch so they reverted it back. I’m not a professional PvP player but I do like to play PvP. SBMM had plenty of mercies too. But it would be better than what we have now. OR Maybe Bungie just completely TURN OFF LOBBY BALANCING and make it true Random CBMM For a week, a Month just to try it out. Since it’s never been implemented purely in D2. IT CANNOT BE WORSE THAT WHAT WE HAVE NOW. EITHER WAY SOMETHINGS GOT TO GIVE.

Imo I prefer sbmm just cause it felt like I improved each match win or loss, since if I lost, I need to improve, I won I’m doing something right, I never cared about a high kd or winning constantly, cause I wanted to relax and have fun, which I did now it’s just a mess, winning matches that don’t seem fair and losing matches when again it doesn’t seem fair and it’s purely because it’s over before I could have fun, but it just removed all the reason to actually try see how you fail and see hot to improve cause now, I just see it as I “if I use this load out and it worked” but use it again “it doesn’t work and I couldn’t do a single thing” look I like consistently over performance since it always works better, plus just get better severs, really that would be very needed

lobby balancing is a thing im consistency with shitters because of it
-
I'd like it back just to hear the no-lifer virgins complain about how its their divine right to squash noobs and maintain their K/D in PvP.

OP title:
I dont care what you say about sbmm
My response:
I dont care what you say about sbmm
Then get better? If you don’t want your back blown out, get better?

19 RespuestasPeople played Crucible back then because it actually got new maps and had pinnacles to chase. The vast majority hated SBMM because SBMM is terrible and had tons of lag, so Bungie removed it. The problem is they then ignored Crucible completely and didn’t bother to fix the way the teams are balanced, which has always been a problem in this game.
-
Crucible feels just like D1 nowadays where it’s relatively carefree and not sweaty. I personally prefer this whether I’m winning or losing. Maybe they should just make playlists for both options?

Editado por sum12mezzwith: 12/30/2021 5:53:11 PMSkill based needs to come back so I dont keep getting these .5kd bottom feeders on my team 🤣

1 RespuestaMaybe this is a dumb question, but why wouldn't Bungie just make it CBMM w/SBMM sorting. Basically sort by connection, then sort by skill. Outliers (35 K/D and 9999 ping or 0 ping and 0.0001 K/D) would be the only people you'd need to worry about then, and that subset is likely <1%. Confuses me HOW it can be as bad as it is currently, this far into development.

1 RespuestaWhen we had sbmm people complained. In other games with sbmm it’s one of the biggest complaints by the player base. There’s no winning no matter which they choose.
-
The answer is not to play. I only go in for certain loot and pinnacles. I’ve tried grinding bounties but it’s just not fun anymore. Add in the terrible connections and constant spawn camping it’s just a bad game mode. Crowd control was awesome while it lasted but Bungie baited us and got rid of that too. Good on the crowd control community for leaving. No one should support a dishonest dev. Personally I hope they never add another power to the game again. The movement community just can’t handle a challenge. They cry and whine as soon as anything competes their meta. The thing that Bungie forgot is that pvp needs to be fun. Now it’s just a mess.

Pvp is 100% trash anymore, youre either getting -blam!- on or youre doing the shitting! No in between!

2 RespuestasI personally feel like blowout matches are all the time now. I mean when I play 6v6 it’s either a mercy game or a game that reaches time. I don’t think of myself as the greatest player but I know for sure I’m not bad. I have a 22% win ratio in 6v6 this season. Something is not right.

15 RespuestasEditado por Divine_Majin93: 12/29/2021 10:53:14 PMIt's great for the skill floor where the act of winning is an inhuman achievement. At its core, SBMM just punishes you for getting better, especially in a non-ranked system or playlist. The Glory playlist is a failure trying to mix both systems. That's why you can match against Legend ranked players regardless of whether or not you waited until later in a season to grind Glory. They're pulled from your skill level automatically. The higher you climb, the worse it begins to feel. Matches slow down, then become downright stalemates where the the lucky ability or instance of lag determines a match's outcome. Fewer people at the top means longer matchmaking. This also means that location and ping become more of an issue. Because trust me, getting good and then being powerless against people on your skill level but watching them teleport across the map feels horrible. It saps your will to keep playing. We simply need a ranked playlist. The better you play, the higher your rank. Trials needs a complete revamp on its concept.

Two of the biggest problems MM has right now are the team balancing and that the current system doesn't account for stacked teams. When team A gets (in order from best to worst) players 1, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12, and team B gets the rest, it's already unbalanced by default on paper. How it should be: 1,3,5,7,9,11 Vs 2,4,6,8,10,12 How it is: 1,4,6,8,10,12 Vs 2,3,5,7,9,11 Team A's second best is worse than the two best on B, but better than their third best. Now what about stacked teams? If everyone on that team has a KD of 2.5 or higher and you have a 1.8, MM should pair you up with players similar to them to match the "formula", but it doesn't either because they're unavailable or because it's not programmed for that. TLDR: MM system is flawed by default, and stacks throw wrenches into that already poorly made system.

I literally get matched against 6 stacks of the top players in my region, i just want to have fun
-
I agree but give us dedicated regional servers and allow us to choose our data centre based on lowest ping. Look to Respawn with how they did Titanfall 2 Bungie…
-
1 RespuestaI'd be all for SBMM if we weren't on outdated p2p connection and had actual servers

I prefer cbmm, better experience overall imo

11 RespuestasI hate the sbmm talk... let’s break it down quickly. If you’re among the higher skill bracket your matches will be tough and you’ll learn and improve over time. If you’re a lower skilled player you’ll never Improve AND the second you jump to a new bracket it’ll be a real shock when you get rolled. Having a mixture of both skilled and lesser so is a balance, without facing hard opponents how do you ever plan on getting better?? Now if you say “all you wanna do is farm lower skilled players!” Little do you know... a lot of us KNOW theirs always someone better and theirs someone better then them. Either you can learn from bad plays, change your (I’m assuming dual primary load out) to something new, find a group willing to scrim and learn or better yet actually take the feedback given too you by people you play against and use it.. you have no idea how many times I got railed in scrims trying too improve until I reached an ok KD Don’t cry on the forums for sbmm when you don’t realize I’d be a horrible change that’ll only harm the already falling player base of PvP
-
Except it made every game sweaty, forced players to run metas, and was extremely unforgiving if you had an off day or internet problems that day or took a break and came back. Just saying with cbmm you don't have to run meta every game and it goes both ways. Sometimes your being stomped and other your doing the stomping. Also on a side not, sbmm separated the player pools with ment mid and lower skilled players never got to play with or against higher skilled players. Which means they never got a chance to pick up good habits, or learn counters for play styles or learn different play styles. Finally, crucible at the moment isn't true cbmm or sbmm but more of a hybrid. It matches off connection then takes the top 4 players and evenly distributes them between the teams.

My favorite Ice cream is chocolate chocolate, and I don't care how much you say vanilla is great.

2 RespuestasFor me the lag I saw was horrific. If they can fix the lag I'm all for sbmm. Till then no thanks.
