I made the following suggestion in another thread as a possible fix the the vault space issue:
"They could fix the vault space issue if they gave us the opportunity to unlock a specific earned roll in collections, so we can always reclaim the weapon and armor with the roll we wanted to save."

Isn’t that what bungie said they wanted to do back when collections dropped in forsaken?
-
What if you could save a roll as your collections piece. Saves vault space and lets people actually hunt every god roll in the game as a checklist!
-
Problem is there is usually more than 1 god roll... one for PvP and another for PvE. Sometimes there are multiple for PvP and PvE depending on your build focus. At that point it's no different than storing in the Vault.

For old retired gear at least there’s zero reason to hold onto pve gear since it’s completely useless. Old pvp gears useable still

And if Bungie wants to introduce a cost to saving that roll to collections, it could cost you the weapon or armor + mod components and poosibly some cores. They should not introduce a new currency for this and they shouldn't use the hardest obtainble materials such as prisms or shards - that would make the system unfair and elitist.
-
Then we are right back at the problem, that isn't a solution that's just introducing a second vault and making the problem worse

Editado por NoHumorMan: 12/23/2021 2:40:20 AMThey could set collections up in a way that the stats change when you earn the weapon or armor for the first time and then every time you earn a new one. Then if you get a really good one, you can lock that roll in collections, so when you claim that weapon from collections it has that locked roll. But if you later want to you should be able to unlock it, so it starts changing again, in case new perks are added to the game that the weapon and armor can roll with.

I'd be cool with just buying a randomly-rolled weapon straight from collections. Take Mindbender's Ambition for example. Say I buy it from collections and it gives me the gun, but randomly rolled. This system would really only work with unobtainable or sunset weapons, but I'd be cool with that. Your idea is cool too though.

Yeah, they would probably not want to do what you suggest, as it will remove farming and grinding from the game. My suggestion, though also removing some grind, seems to be a fix to the vault space issue and uselessness of collections. And you will still grind for new rolls when they are introduced.

Too true. I just want to be able to reroll old weapons that aren't obtainable anymore. Very selfish of me, I know. More space to hang onto old stuff would be much more appreciated though.
