pvp matchmaking sucks
5 rounds of pvp activities, 3 gambit and 2 crucible, all complete washes. Not a single gambit match did my team summon the primeval, one crucible got mercied and the other was just shy of the mercy count when the other team won. Please do something better. Even if I am a complete trash player at pvp activities, which I am not (I'd say I'm slightly above average,) it completely ruins my Destiny experience when I loose 5 matches in a row like that because matchmaking took a crap on me.
Edit: additional note, to those of you saying play with people/get a clan, your right, that does make the experience better for me, but then I become someone else's steam roller; it doesn't fix the issue for everyone. I understand sometimes that poor matches happen, even in a full lobby of blueberries one team can just have better synergy than another. But when it's 3 gambit matches in a row in new lobbies every time and an additional 2 crucible matches that were lopsided there is a larger issue at play.

Playing Glory playlist here are some before/after stats... wtf... a month or so ago 1.00 K/D ... 1.20 KA/D ... 50.3% win percentage now 1.13 K/D ... 1.30 KA/D ... 47.8% win percentage I've gotten better, I think, and I just lose more, feels bad man. I can't stand to do Trials Freelance anymore. 546 games in and denied at the lighthouse twice... (was the week they started the Flawless pool AND win match making, not card, and I hadn't played yet so no wins on a Monday) ... since then, just destroyed and paired with people who are like 1290 light, ugh.

My biggest issue is trading kills 24/7. Idk how I continuously die to someone seconds after I’ve already kill them.

Honestly, I suspect they purposely matchmake for a high percentage of mercy's to artificially shorten queue times.

3 RespuestasLots of my games are losses. That’s how the balancing works. On a scale of 1-10 for pvp, I’m about an 8 or 9. In order to balance the teams for me, my teammates basically don’t have thumbs. So, instead of going for the win, I just kill people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Only like 17 people play destiny currently. If your number 17 no amount of match making will fix your loosing streak. You see what I’m getting at.

I always got against multiple fireteams in the same enemy team or a 4+ stack while my team is full of random people.

Your best chance of enjoying game modes with pvp or pvp elements is in the first month of the season. After this time period your either fodder or farming guardians like a line of thrall.

2 RespuestasWhile matchmaking is an issue it's not the sole problem. The pvp population isnt nearly as big as it was or could be. That pretty much leaves the pvp mains in every playlist. This results in sweatier matches. I played a few games yesterday by myself and my god it was the sweatiest quickplay games I've played in a long while. A few of my returning friends who arent that good at the game kept getting dumpstered every game because there's not many people in their skill bracket left playing. So I came to play with them to try and help and again I had to try my a** off. And before all the " you just want easy games" crowd responds I dont mind having to face good players but when its every game it gets a little old

1 RespuestaGuardians, they can create an algorithm that matches teams perfectly but do you want to wait 30 mins to create a lobby. That is literally what it would take for the game to find 11 players that match you perfectly. There is no perfect solution. I believe if they gave more points for capturing a zone more players would have to play the objective. How many times have you seen the sweats at the top with 0-2 captures? A lot from my experience. They run around the map hunting with no penalty for doing so.

Game after the game ends with mercy, smash after smash, one side or the other—no kind of match up even when it is a 6 v 6 full of random non-fireteam players. With all the data this game has available being ignored. It is not fun for either side. The losers get upset and quit the game. The winners brag about it for a while but get bored and quit too. It is a lose-lose game you are promoting. It is an embarrassment, if you don't like ELO ranking, we can help you guys write a matching algorithm in a paper bag using a pencil. It will surely be better than what you have.

Perhaps Bungie will go in the opposite direction and say, unless you're a top 5% player you have to have a pre made fireteam or you're just going to be cannon fodder. Personally I don't mind as I'm right at the bottom of the dung heap anyway 👌🏻💩💩💩

Not out here trying to be mean, but I would say that your statistically at or below average in PvP. I get steam rolled all the time and my stats are much more inflated than yours (fyi I don’t think I’m great at crucible, just average)

Yeah I have barely had balanced teams and when I don't get mercied, I stick with the lobby and pray no one leaves just to play a fair match.

Yep the matchmaking and peer to peer system are garbage and until they add dedicated servers this PvP will be trash. Halo is out with dedicated servers and it is a much, much, much better experience.
