    • Hahahhahahahahaahhaahhaha.....you serious? Bungie are so scared to split the trials player base they won't even run it at the same time as IB anymore. You're never getting permanent freelance, a lab weekend or two sure but NEVER permanent.

        Should just make teams face each other. Having teams with similiar setups ie If one team has 2 mini teams of 3 players each, then the other side needs to be similiar or close to it. When you face a stack of 6 players in one team when your team is completely solo or in a duo, that is a major problem. Changes the Control from 125 to 150 is a dumb solution and it doesnt change the crappy lobby balancing and matchmaking layout. The fact that barely address the Mercy rule showcases they are either too lazy to address the issue or dont have a clue how to fix the problem that have neglected over time. What I find mind baffling is that IB and Trials seem to be playlists they want to make changes to while Quickplay is still being neglected and becoming much worse with each change not catering to it. Quickplay feels more sweatier than Trials did last weekend and that is beyond alarming.

        It does not work in IB or Glory at all. It works for the solo players, but that is it. The social players get the same amount of stomps and mercies, have a larger chance of matching a sweat stack, have fewer levels of overall skill represented from match to match, and a higher chance for longer queue times and lag in each match. Yeah. Really works. Freelance has always been, and always will be, a bandaid fix that satisfies solos while leaving social gamers with a bunch of drawbacks. And those drawbacks will be exponentially worse in Trials compared to IB due to its competitive nature. A much better solution would just be to place solos in matches they have a chance of winning. A 1.2 K/D solo shouldn't match a team of 1.8 K/D players. Make matchmaking changes with a focus on making solo matches more competitive and this issue goes away. If that means a team of 1.5 K/D players match 3 solos floating around 1.7 to make up for the lack of communication, so be it.

        • Both have their ups and downs, freelance has way more downsides but ill let you experience that on your own. Freelance trials is not gonna be a walk in the park, everyone is going to go do their own thing, the team with a small amount if common sense is gonna be the winner. Just look at how the solo experience currently is, the match starts and some idiot runs into a 1v3 in less than 10 seconds. You think freelance is gonna be any different? Its really not, its gonna be more disorganized but a good player will still steamroll you guys. You will see what I mean when it comes, I wish you luck though.

          • My only question is when it’s trials lab “freelance” are they going to keep it as a single playlist like they did for Pacifica , or add it as a separate playlist. Honestly the prospect of folks literally not being allowed to team puts a salty smile on my face but a big palm for bungie as well 😊

          • It may work for trials as long as there's things for people to play for. Somebody has to lose though, and freelance takes solos out of that equation. So there's a good chance it would either go back to "bully simulator" or the shot registration would be all kinds of jacked up trying to make it so less experienced teams could win.

          • The amount of people complaining about getting stomped in IB hasn’t gone down since freelance was put in. I’m confused as to what you mean by “it works”

          • Standard IB is usually much better than freelance when playing solo. Occasionally there is a stack of good players, but most stacks in IB outside of communication and coordination aren't great at 1v1 situations if you can divide and conquer.

          • We’ll get a chance to see how well it works when they trial it in Labs. After some incredibly successful weeks I think they’ll be more interested in trying to incentivize people to stay in 1 playlist though.

          • Freelance is amazing. I only play a lot of PvP when banana is here. I’ll skip it entirely on non-banana weeks.

          • wont work unless they fix their terrible team balancing. Two IB matches where half my team wasn't going for zones and rage quit
