Except it is. The gravemind was an ally for a time. The arbiter was released from the control of the prophets, as were a number of elites as they got replaced by the dumber brutes as the main forces. You probably only played the games and barely understood the story like most people...but there was a ton more to it. And the guy behind halo was just better...all around...than the guys running destiny. By all measures the UNSC has been heads and shoulders above the traveller in protecting human interests from a multiracial alien invasion. I'm talking about how you are saying people from Halo could essentially just -blam!- slap the entire Destiny universe without a second thought, and the fact that you say MC could upload Cortana to the Traveler when that's physically impossible since the Traveler isn't a machine. It's a literal God. And taking the Light isn't simple. Look at how it turned out for Ghaul. Plus the Traveler just intrinsically operates differently, preferring a more hands off approach to allow its followers as much free will as possible.

So...no...the traveller isnt a literal god. It is a being bound by space-time and its various iterations. It operates not on magic but on misunderstood science.. And the forrunners were gods... Cortana literally took over an ancient machine that by everyone elses measure was a god that operated on magic. Now cortana has the power of an ancient machine God. Master chief would take the light and shove it up the travellers -blam!- so hard every guardian from here to middle earth would be shitting rainbows..

The entire reason the Vex can't properly simulate the Light, or anything Paracausal, is because it breaks every known law of existence. A single Pyramid can effortlessly make an entire planet disappear in the blink of an eye, the Traveler went to blows with an entire fleet of them and survived (in a coma, but survived) If the Vex are incapable of fully understanding the Light, then Cortana definitely wouldn't.

Again it is just science that evades our understanding and cortana already is a machine god...she can literally annihilate galaxies with her new power... And she stole that power. You know what...no. MC wouldnt even have to fight . cortana would break saint like a school girl...and make him enjoy it... Besides the universe is basically a skin cell of actual God...so the traveller aint -blam!-. Not only this but people who support saint 14 take things completely seriously where as people who loved John 117 back when we skipped high school on release days....we totally understand this type of humor.
