The movement in Destiny is my favorite aspect of the game. Having unique movement tech for each class keeps the game fresh and fun. Nerfing icarus dash wouldn’t be needed if each class had movement tech that was just as good. Titan has really no tech besides old skating (pretty sure it’s patched) with a macro, hunter has worldline skating with revenant (a glitch). Icarus dash is the only tech that isn’t a bug. If there was other options, top tree dawns movement wouldn’t be nearly as oppressive.
Just my opinions on the TWAB, feel free to disagree :)

2 RespuestasI like movement in D2. Makes it different from other shooters. Here’s the thing, though: most players are bad at pvp. Bungie has to please them. Without them this game is nothing. It’s the truth whether we like it or not.

Hunters still have worldline skating > DOESN'T affect PVP. Icarus Dash > affects PVP. Therefor, it's getting a nerf. Notice any trends?

3 RespuestasOf course the icarus dash was going to get nerfed. Twilight garrison got nerfed for the exact same reason. I'm just surprised its taken this long. I don't agree with it but this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

21 RespuestasEditado por A_mo: 8/6/2021 2:21:32 AMMovement is good. Everyone likes Destiny's movement and its something this game has that other games can't really copy. Having said that, the things where in PvP the fact that someone is moving it causes your shots not to register even when they probably should be should be kept to a minimum imo. Its something that often has to do with how the internet is set up and its not always a huge problem but it can get pretty bad at times as well. All classes have or have had something in terms of movement that's more annoying to deal with than it probably should be. It can happen with hunter dodge, behemoth could get down right abominable, it could happen with sliding in general, and icarus dash, even though I never had much of a problem with it in 6v6, could be a bit much in 3v3s. Just because something breaks aim assist shouldn't mean that it causes bullets to disappear into thin air.

1 RespuestaBungie caters to casuals and console dads. Idk what to tell you.

Editado por UncleObscene: 8/6/2021 6:47:12 AMIt's just another Bungo nerf after the overtuned buff they gave it a while ago. It just seems like its picking on a class ability when they nerf something good, because it takes them forever to revert or tune them down. Look at slide shotgunning it sucks to deal with, but it's been around for 7 years and Bungie is just now getting around to it...so it wasnt that big of a problem. But yeah...It would make too much sense to give the other classes that same kinda of move set, but its just Bungie being Bungie. Bungie has always found it hard to find a happy medium with anything pertaining to buffing or nerfing. It's always been too far left or right and the fix for them takes months or ....even years looking at Nova Warp.
