So I'm screwed on fatebreaker then...
Ok so this happened to me on descendant and other raid titles as well, but I'm getting sick of being locked out of seals because of collections not being completed. I've done EVERY character, EVERY week since VoG dropped. I have 120 completions, (36 loot clears), 70 carries, and EVERY challenge and triumph including the master stuff.
After all that, I'm not able to get the fatebreaker seal just because I still haven't had a mythoclast drop, and I'm not the only one still stuck here in this. I've got clanmates still chasing EoT for descendant and even a mate still chasing the damn auto from GoS to get his enlightened.
Bungie, its extremely frustrating to feel hopeless and like every week is just a waste of time. THIS is why players get tired of destiny. They want to love it and yet we feel like some things may never be obtainable because of bad luck. This has been happening to me since d1 launch. Forever 29, forever 319, forever 399. I just got my d1 390 mytho last season after still spending ages chasing it still and here we are again.
Somehow there will still be players rolling in here going on about how we need to stop begging for handouts, but this time, for once...I actually am. This is honestly absurd.

Just keep going for it. Got mine this week aswell on the 39th looted clear. VoG is fun atleast

4 RespuestasTheres 1 thing I've learned while playing destiny. It rewards you for NOT playing, yes you read that correctly, you get rewarded for taking some time off. I might not be in 50s or 100s raid clears but I def have 20+ here and there. As a single dad of 2 and work nearly 42hrs a week, that's more than enough to me. I never got eyes, never got anarchy, never got vex. So after I took a small break, played other games and just was kinda burned out from destiny's bullshii, came back did VoG and DSC, in the same week I got both exotics to drop. Now let me tell you another thing which I know it's not the reason you want it but the vex is striaght up trash, I mean it feels as of it's only purpose is nostalgia. And eyes needs a serious buff, because other than gambit I see no use for it. It needs a good buff, it dont need to be gally status but jeez it's as if I'm throwing multiple pillows at bosses lol

14 RespuestasHere’s a little secret!!!! Stop playing for a few weeks, enjoy the loot rain. Trust me Bungie knows who plays a lot and tweaks the reward drops to make sure you can’t get everything. Those of us who play casually get stuff faster!!!

I'm sure you're going to find a new carrot to chase and find something else to complain about then. Relax and enjoy the ride. It will drop eventually. If it makes you feel any better, I'm bout to hit 6 gambit resets because I still don't have the smg with a roll I like. I'm going to be able to buy tarrabah before I get a roll I like. ( I started with zero raid spoils )

4 RespuestasTook me 63 clears to get anarchy when it still dropped from a raid… which is 43 too many in my opinion. Most players in this game don’t get ONE raid clear, let alone TWENTY. I’d say that twenty is a fair number of clears for a guaranteed exotic drop.

My guy, its frustrating, i get that. BUT saying that bad rng for raid exotics is teh reason why people get tired of D2 is the biggest joke after reading the pvp tweets yesterday. Literally less than 1 % of players regularly play raids. Bad luck on a raid exotic is NOT even close to being a common problem for people getting tired of D2. YOU and me are a minority. The reason people are tired of D2 is that Bungie was better with activison. Thats it. If you wanna hate on activision, go ahead. Fact is that destiny had its best years WITH activision. D1, D2 year 2. Everything after that went downhill. Mostly quality wise. Trash reissued content with fortnite battle passes is what we get now. THATS why people are tired of D2.

4 RespuestasThey just need to increase spoil storage to 1k and have raid exotics cost 1k. This is the equivalent to 50 full raids so people who play a lot would get it and also encourage more people to help. That amount is high enough that it’s not like everyone will have the gun.

2 RespuestasHey im sorry about your rng issues but apparently my friend told me if u open the door on the beginning by standing on the right plate u have a higher chance of it dropping for u I know it sounds crazy but I've seen two people who didn't have vex get at the same time because they were on the right side plate facing the entrance

Gotta have that white whale though, am I right? Its gonna feel so much better when you finally do drop it, right? I have Vex but I understand your pain and agree that its pathetic that collections be included, especially when the exotic is 100% RNG with supposed bad luck protection that we can't even trust works at this point. This is why I prefer raid exotics be quest related. I don't care how long or if they require activities outside of the raid as long as there's options and it guarantees that my work will pay off without playing until the game decides its rolled the dice well enough to get the drop.

I honestly don't see why raid exotics can't have a triumph that awards it after a certain number of completions if you haven't got it already. It would have to be looted runs and probably a higher number than most people would like, but at least it would give a guarantee at a certain point.

Agreed. I don’t think titles should be tied to rng. I’m in the same boat as your friendd with dsc. I just gave up. And after that terrible experience I’m not even trying with vog.

In other words, incentivize players who never touch an activity with top loots, and punish players who help many others with shit loot. It’s the most absurd gambling RNG ever designed, however I have to admit that it’s a cornerstone of the success of this game. It feeds frustration and anger, degenerates into a vicious cycle that participates to what and how this community is and seen from outside. I understand it’s hard and costly for Bungie to change the rng, they certainly don’t have the staff to do it either and really don’t care, but the least they could do is make a system like Scourge where people who don’t have it improve their chances of getting it with every failed attempts. I played so much D1 that I have a feel for this RNG and get every loot I want within a few attempts, but it’s not really fun or coherent to have to avoid playing activities only to get a loot.

8 RespuestasWhy in gods green earth does it matter to have a word on your character at all? You pay 50 bucks for a game and a bit more for season pass. For that you get THOUSANDS of hours of entertainment, hundreds of weapons, hundreds of pieces of armor. more quests than anyone could complete in a full time job in a month of gaming and yet you sit here and cry about a single word you want on your character? I mean I knew millenials were narcissistic but this takes the cake
