There will always be a best option if you pick any metric. The only thing is you refuse to pick a metric

Are you forgetting a large portion of our convo? I covered all this. Used your choice in metric in speed. As I have stated, it still won’t work. Impossible to factor in all the variables. Especially for raids where there are 6 total members. All with varying skills and play styles.
-
You’re actually not even reading my messages then. If it’s speed as the metric in raids warlock is best for vog. 1 Titan 5 warlocks easy.
-
Based on what? What empirical data are you using for that statement?
-
Warlock is the fastest class. Bubble is the best dps buff in the game. I could break down every encounter and why I’ve made that decision but be honest will it even make a difference to you?
-
Fastest according to who? You?
-
It’s a fact warlock is the fastest
-
Proven by who?
-
Everyone? The devs? It’s not up for debate it’s a fact
-
The devs stated as such? Where? Everyone stated that? I didn’t, so that’s false. If it’s a fact it should be easy to prove.
-
I mean they decided it by making the game that way
-
Are you gonna prove anything, or are you just gonna keep claiming facts on your opinions?
-
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z35Lfk3qx70 World record speed run. Mostly warlocks and using top tree dawn blade to skate through at super speed timestamp 10:20 for the best example
-
Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is only possible on PC with use of macros, correct? So, for a vast majority this isnt achievable or relevant
-
You don’t need macros as far as I know I showed you the world record run and it’s exactly what I said it would be that’s the meta for vog
-
Several comments confirm use of slipstream macros. Still legal as far as speedrunning is concerned, but a console player could not do that
-
There are different meats on pc and console as they are on different sandboxes and uses devices
-
So, I’ll concede Warlocks are meta for VOG specifically for speedrunning on PC largely because I don’t play PC and don’t know enough about it. It stands that you couldn’t do that on consoles tho.
-
That was my point. See meta can be determined
-
In that specific instance, maybe. But the point that for many activities it’s hard to use speed as a metric. PvP isn’t really affected by it. Warlock offers an elite PvP build, sure. But is it better than other builds for Titan/Hunter? That’s where you can’t make a decision because it’s subjective. Say you use survivability as your metric in VOG, how do you measure that?
-
I have proven my point meta can be determined for each activity. We could go through this long process rand every class based on every activity and average them out to find an overall meta
-
I mean, you proved it for a very niche aspect. PC VOG specifically for speed running. The point is, vast majority of metrics couldn’t be proven. Even speed can’t for PvP.
-
We agreed a meta can be defined. Therefore we can define meta for every activity and determine an overall winner.
-
But you can’t for something like PvP, as I just said
-
We agreed a meta can be defined. Therefore we can define meta for every activity and determine an overall winner.
-
Okay…how do you do that for PvP, as I just asked?
