With bungie nerfing shotguns into the ground they are asking for a Grenade Launcher/Fusion/Slug meta. I understood why quickdraw would be nerfed when people complained that they did not have felwinters but when they made the change to felwinters being added to the archived weapons kiosk there is no reason to complain when you can run the weapon yourself. This week has been singlehandedly the worst week of trials. I was pumped when javelin was the map but with the way that this new trials meta is it makes me want to just run 1 card and get off. People complaining that bungie caters to the top 1% of players need a reality check.

Lol shotguns are fine now. Now people uses shotguns the right way like baiting pushes and cleanups. Not apeing and using a shotgun like a primary. They’re still problems like the special ammo economy and map size, but shotguns as an archetype are good.

They're still the most prevalent Special in PvP by a very long way. Handcannon & Shotgun remain completely head and shoulders above ALL the competition. - They need to bring back the larger maps they ripped out, add new medium-long maps especially for 6v6s, improve the alternatives, the counters, the Sidearms, the Fusions, the SMGs, and their availability e.g. Glacioclasm being only available once a year, whilst Felwinters was put inside a kiosk!, etc. etc.

Yeah and sometimes a shotgun wanna map or just whiff a kill , and now they sorta feel useless. As if bungie is forcing the meta for shit players.

Shotguns are for no skill players anyways who need them to be even remotely decent just to avoid actual gunfights. Double primaries are for the true skillers. I forgot about the teamshooting cowards holding hands for each gunfight in a game that doesnt require much to be decent at. We are literally back to square one before Stasis became a thing.

I hate that that Shottys were nerfed, but at the same time, I appreciate it. The game is definitely slower, but it's for the best, atleast til we get back larger maps.

When 90% of all the deaths are by Shotguns and 120 Hand Cannons its saying something.

24 RespuestasPlaying against felwinters >>>>>> playing against grenade launchers, chaperone, and snipers ANY day of the week no competition. All of those things are way more oppressive and difficult to counter, the worst thing about the felwinters meta was people straight lining which was as simple as having the awareness to backpedal or out-shotgun them. Now you have people shooting grenade launchers across the map getting 80 damage tags on you from around walls, people using chaperone to avoid all primary gunfights because it has enough range to close most gaps on destiny maps, and people will probably go back to using the extemely high aim assist, hitboxes the size of a moving van, one hit kill from any range snipers.

Bungie is going to tune the other specials next season so that should be good. Shotguns did need the nerf, or aggressives did.

Nah it was needed. I get killed with a shotty a lot less now and if I do it's my bad positioning. Otherwise it's bow and a slug to the face.

ah yes my shotty already whiffed 9/10 times before the nerf please add more inconsistency. At least now people can feel unique and off meta using gls and sidearms

Just tried using the felwinter and the nerf is definitely massive. Its a total game changer and I think its actually perfect! The next issue is obviously slugs, bastion and grenade launchers. Felwinter actually feels balanced, it still consistently gets that one shot but you gotta be up close and personal which is amazing compared to the low risk it used to have.
