This kind of lobby balancing should NEVER happen in Control.

6 RespuestasPeople just need to get better Aim is so ridiculously easy in this game all you have to think about is where you are and what engagements you should take Really no excuse for complaining about no sbmm just improve
-
70% connection 30% skill level
-
1 RespuestaPlay comp? Like you guys ask for sbmm and Bungie legit gives you a whole playlist....
-
12 RespuestasY'all forget how awful connections were with SBMM....
-
3 Respuestasso your saying 33 93 was the badest gams, eh? I once had 9:101 match, no jokes. And either they put sbmm or not things will still be the same, it's the problem with lobby balancing rather then sbmm at this point.
-
What you're saying is simply not true. It's not just SBMM it's lobby balancing, SBMM, CBMM and P2P all put into one. It's 100% unadulterated crap. Will Bungie ever tell you what their doing? No. Because they don't give a shit.

1 RespuestaI knew that the minute they took it away. All it does is let streamers stomp on people that suck at pvp and pretend like they are good. If they had to match people of their skill level it would be a much different story. I have a .05 kd because I don’t care but if I play trials every team I face has been flawless
-
But then the strimmers wouldn't be able to do their weapon reviews and claim how AMAZING every single weapon in the game is. Lol DFP Sheikh even complained about it in a video once.
-
Go play Call of Duty cold war its got strict sbmm.
-
19 RespuestasYou'll get a lot of crucible players fighting you on this. But the rest of the entire community would agree, SBMM and EARNING your way up was a much better system. You cant learn to get better at the game when you're slapped so hard you cant get a single kill. You cant learn what works and what doesn't because nothing works against them
-
Don't worry, they've been working on that improved focus into PvP for more than 2 years now lol. It'll be great when they launch it, sometime 2026!
-
This is not a sbmm issue but a lobby balancing issue.
-
Lol, they can add sbmm, so all the bad players can be happy. Hears a little secret..... It will still be a joke. Crucible is a mess and sbmm, is just one of the many messes.
-
I usually on the winning end so I don’t really know but a 50/50 shot of winning every game is not it
-
1 RespuestaGo play cold war if you think its sweaty on d2
-
*spoiler alert* That happens with SBMM too.
This one pic is all I need to say. This kind of lobby balancing should NEVER happen in Control.
If I go to my match history, those same matches happened back with SBMM. Go play comp or Elim if you want SBMM. You’ll be met with long loading times and matches that don’t feel any different from CBMM. All SBMM does is ruin the experience when playing with friends.

5 RespuestasEditado por michael: 6/28/2021 10:45:42 PMCrucible will continute to decline if cbmm is forced in every playlist. You have your pic, here is my contribution to how flawed matchmaking is. I am #7 in rumble on PC and these are the kind of lobbies I get on a regular basis: https://imgur.com/a/0yBUorU It is not fair. Something needs to change or PvP will just keep dying.

4 RespuestasSBMM exists in rumble and survival

Go play come comp and then come back to us if you really feel sbmm is any better.

The team balancing is complete trash at times for sure, maybe more times than not. However, let's all be honest.... neither SBMM nor CBMM is going to solve anything as both of them have significant drawbacks while using P2P networking. The matchmaking system and overall PvP experience needs a complete overhaul. A system needs to be built that can allow for the core benefit of CBMM (ie no lag) while at the same time doing something that can help provide some balance when dumping in low and high skilled players into the same lobby. One thing I have thought about would be to introduce a "skill advantage curve" which would essentially be similar to the current "power advantage curve" that exists in IB and Trials but it would be based on skill instead of power. The lower your skill is the more advantage you get. Just like the power level advantages it would be dynamically calculated based on who is in the lobby. The goal would be to help give lower skill players a chance at surviving longer and to contribute to their team, thus them hopefully having a better experience, thus maybe they will play more. As(if) player population grows then hopefully more traditional SBMM can kick in, though not at the cost of connection quality. Obviously, this isn't a final/complete solution and assumes that P2P networking will never be changed.

3 RespuestasCrucible is a joke because Destiny's core experience isn't as a competitive game.

Solution: Get Good

Indeed, facing full stacked fireteams can be frustrating at times, including the "other teams damage buff" or "rigged to win" matches. It could be better if there was a freelance option. This would solve problems for a lot of solo players. I personally dont mind playing against a full stack, as i will try to adept however i can. But i know some friends who used to play quickmatches have stopped playing pvp.

I don’t think there should be any influence on matchmaking one way or the other. I think everyone should be able to match with anyone. You should be able to load into every single playlist(even trials and Iron banner) without having any idea of what you’re going to get. This would solve most of the issues for both sweaty and non sweaty players. Casuals could keep trying and trying to go flawless, and eventually they could get lucky and have an entire card without facing a sweaty team because it’d all be random.

I don’t feel like sbmm is gone. I feel like my lobbies are just as sweaty as ever, or maybe that’s bc I got the series s. It’s almost unplayable at this point
