My man ain't nobody tryna gate keep DSC it's one of the easiest raids we've ever got, just a shame people like you are too scared to jump in and give it a go. You would have seen it's really quite simple and not hard leading to you getting your anarchy faster. Goodluck with your spoils grinding it can be boring but dang is it worth it

It’s not fear. It’s that no one on LFG will play with inexperienced people. What people like you don’t get, is people like the OP get squeezed on both ends. LFG won’t help him because he has no experience...(no starting your own fireteam won’t work because no one will join it). Then, when he take on the start of the raid and clears an encounter designed for six people by himself, he gets mocked, and Bungie changes the rules and takes the currency out of the chest. It’s an unwinnable game that this community and Bungie foists on players.

Plenty of people will help on lfg. I got my first clear via lfg, both in dsc and in every raid since vog. The people who have consistent problems are those that come in without mic’s, rocking a sidearm/bow/lfr loadout expecting to be carried.

Yep look for yourself. Right now on this app there are five teams asking for help to learn DSC. Not one offering to teach. Don’t see one of you falling over yourselves to go help.

I did. End of workday: still not online. Late evening: people going to bed. Even tho it’s 9pm in uk when average people might still be playing.... NA has over 5 times the population. Are people playing? Yeah. It’s definitely not peak population time tho.

Maybe it does, who knows. Maybe 5 groups should condensed themselves into 1-2 and then ask for assistance.

I’m calling BS. I’ve seen tons of LFG post fill that are looking for help getting a first completion. A lot of raiders actually enjoy teaching people. And it counts as a carry if you get them their first clear which you can put a counter for on your emblem.

That’s why I put a group of inexperienced people together for my first time with the only experience from videos.

Understandable that people feel this way but I cant say its overly true. A post on the 100 or xbox lfg if you are on that system will usually produce something. I expect its doubtful he tried. I used to sherpa a lot but now its just too much trouble, no one puts the effort in to do the homework on the raid. No one wants to listen they just expect a carry. I'm a sherpa 5 on the 100 but its not used like it used to be now, people don't want to carry rude impatient people.. I'm not surprised he got mocked when he uses the gate keeping etc excuse along with saying he earned it more than the actual raiders who did the raid where the weapon comes from I only speak from my experiences as a sherpa.

That is how this community has rolled since vanilla D2 when Bungie made it impossible to carry people through raids, and made it extremely risky to try to teach new players. Especially more than one at the same time. Bungie swung hard at catering to hardcores, and made raiding very inaccessible. But then turns around and tuned the entire game to weapons that they’ve locked 90-95% of the player base out of gaining access to. I’ve both done DSC, and the farm. The farm is more difficult. As you are content designed for six people, by yourself. So mocking him is elitist gatekeeping. Pure and simple. And the raid that Anarchy was a part of is no longer in the game....so getting it is nothing but a currency grind, at this point. Let’s not kid ourselves

I would agree that D1 had a better sherpa culture than D2 but I believe it just had better raids and you had to do them to get the better weapons and gear. Kingsfall, Vog and wrath are not easy carries. We all started somewhere and for most of us it was on that LFG, gallahorn and KWTD were even more of a thing back then.

They are difficult to TEACH. They were designed in such a way that each player has to know every role (so there is no place to hide or protect a new or weak player). Ass to that the revive token, and you’ve now empowered a single weak player to stop an entire raid teams progress. It’s why I stopped raiding with LFG teams. I still remember my first effort to clear GoS. Everything was fine until the final boss fight. But that fight requires intense multi-tasking. Which is fine for me because my job requires it to an even greater degree. But we had one player who was being overwhelmed by it and just kept making mistake after mistake that caused the team to wipe. Add to that an impatient team leader... and that’s a recipe for a failed raid. Outlier? No. My first completion of that raid, required a team leader with the patient of a saint and having to break that fight almost down to its simplest elements because he was trying to teach two new players and was unfamiliar with me so he was unwilling to trust me with dealing with the Cyclopses. Understanding what he was up against, I didn’t argue and fell in line. Even though I knew it was making his job harder. Bungie [i]designed[/i] these raids so that they had th be completed by six strong players. But at the price of discouraging people to teach them. In fact Bungie does more to encourage Trials carries than raid sherpas these days.

My friend, I have done every raid this franchise has ever made. I have completed Destiny 1 hard mode raids—-no revives at all—-when half my raid team was dead, and I was carrying multiple roles. So stop barking.

Between this app, console apps, reddit threads, discord servers, etc. If you cant find a raid team your not trying at all.

Many places to find people to raid with [i]if you already know the raid.[/i] But if you’re someone who wants to learn it? This community shuts you out. A point that people who raid with the same group of friends or clan members every week are blind to.
