Wow that’s crazy! You mean when they remove the population balancing, the class with astronomically more players will win? Who could’ve foreseen this????
[spoiler]it’s so funny to me that hunters whined so much to bungie that they decided to remove class balancing and just let them sweep GG by numbers alone, us Titans should try that with an exotic buff or something

That 'astronomical' difference you're talking about is a whopping 7%. Kinda makes your point totally wrong, especially considering the losing teams have been getting a 10% stacking increase on gains for the duration. This event could have been won by any class and likely would have been more competetive if it was actually fun, instead of just a bounty grindfest of the same stuff we've always done. Once the intial excitement for the event died off, it was done.

That 7% is tens of thousands of extra votes every day, but I do agree that the event is objectively awfully designed

Maybe but even then, the stacking 10% gains for the other classes would easily offset that after a few days. Bungie had the right formula for scoring, just a totally boring event to use it on. If they did something like revamped story missions like they did with year 1 (or was it 2, I forget) moments on triumph, it would have seen much more engagement and then been more competetive.

Warlocks and Titans only started over taking hunter population advantage at 40-50% bonus, the catch-up mechanic wasn’t enough to balance the hunter population advantage

Or it could be that because the event is so meh, people just weren't bothered that much. I say again, 7% difference. That does not require a 40%-50% bonus to overtake, the math is just plain wrong.

Titans, like Lance Armstrong, we’re caught doping last year. This year, without any “assistance” Titans are losing (even to Warlocks!). Before you say “oh but there are more Hunters so of course they’ll win” there are more Americans than Canadians, and when America wins more gold medals at the olympics no one cares 👍
