I think because you can get an easy 7 supers during a match...
English
-
You don’t get the super 7 times. I average 4 when I’m going off and racking up a lot of kills AND running geo mag. If someone somehow manages to get 7super activations then the enemy team is just flat out brain dead.
-
Not true especially with the Mantle of Battle harmony and switching to geomag to top off I was able to get 12 supers in one game of control. I paired it with a thresh weapon as well so every kill I got gave me even extra. The amount of supers obtainable is crazy.
-
Why is 7 supers killing one each worse than one super killing 7?
-
Because of comp/trials.
-
Don't hurt a super in pve on behalf of a game mode almost all players dont play. Every patch there was PvP only except this one.
-
Almost nobody uses chaos reach in pve and the ones that use it in gambit pair it with geomag for the extended duration meaning they are not canceling it.
-
I use it in PvE. I cancel it in PvE. It is fantastic ad wipe. Don't assume just because you don't, others don't.
-
And you could just as easily use nova bomb and get even more kills. Or stormcaller and be able to go to other rooms instead of being stuck in place. PvE using Chaos is just a waste
-
Not when the enemies are too spread out for a nova bomb. And chaos reach can be used a dps or add clear making it way more versatile than stormcaller. So no, it is not a waste.
-
Bungie nerfed it the wrong way (i would have nerfed geomags somehow) but something had to be done.
-
Ehhh, the super never felt oppressive to me. I've been saying for a long time that I want geomags to be less necessary though.
-
The nerf was targeted towards trials and 3v3. It rewarded slow play and a free pick on the enemy team, but you got to keep most of the super energy. Its a justifiable nerf imo
-
It's 35% of super energy refunded at max, and that's only if you cancel it real fast. Within about 1 second of activation
-
Its been unchanged for a very long time and people just started complaining recently, I dont think the nerf was really needed.
-
Yes, people started complaining recently because it was noticed more by a lot of people recently. Its a simple trend, it was less popular back then and was less useful in particular playlists.
-
Editado por Lull9: 3/16/2021 1:25:57 AMIt's getting used because Stasis ruined PvP. Now anyone who DOESN'T want to run stasis and also NOT get bullshitted out of their light-subclass super went and found options that can exist in the oppressive OP-stasis sandbox.
-
But the thing is, it really isn't broken.
-
Very shallow comment coming from someone who likely isn’t that great at PvP. shit-talk aside, I literally said its more prevalent in trials, which still stands. It rewarded passive play and several supers per game with little repercussions. Go for pick > cancel super > keep half super > win round > play passive > repeat.
-
Editado por ACROCANTHUS: 3/12/2021 4:46:15 AMDon't hurt a super across all PvE and PvP for one game mode a significant portion of the community does not play. The super is easy to bait out, and easy to shut down. It glues a set of boots on that you need to use the super optimally, they don't buff your neutral game at all. Neutral game is okay, nothing special. The super really isn't unbalanced. The nerf was not warranted. Asides from that, make passive play punishing is trials rather than hurting a super. Something like countdown or even a capture point from the start.

Shotgun crutchin -blam!- are whom blew this up. Got sick of me deleting there ass trying to rush me with the only gun they get kills with. Good ole bungie catering to children and piss pour game play. I choose a warlock because the skill ceiling was so high but the reward was high too but nerf or no nerf il still be deleting with reach. Bums cant stop me .
-
Not sure what the neutral game shit is about, Chaos Reach has great neutral game. PvE getting hurt by this makes no sense since its entirely more worth it to use the whole super for DPS rather than a portion anyways. Not very easy to bait something out when it kills through walls. Sorry, but the enemy might be baiting YOU out. Good players won’t be baited by anyone without letting them die.
-
Neutral game is fine. Just not amazing. It does hurt PvE. I use it for ad wipe and cancel my super often. it's very underrated for that. That comment is from experience of me baiting it out easily not the other way around.

Editado por Dominus: 3/12/2021 4:56:25 AMChaos reach is literally the best DPS on a warlock in PvP for bosses. It may not be as much of a burst subclass than a titan with Cuirass of the Falling Star but it does more DPS overall. I couldn’t see a reason to use it for ad clear when it does what I mentioned above. EDIT: I said PvP, I meant PvE
-
Dude, I know its amazing DPS, it's my main subclass. But what I love about it that the super is so versatile. If there isn't any boss coming up soon or if it a much shorter dps check that you can do with a sword or a single rocket, it will absolutely decimate a wave of ads surprisingly well.

Yes, and we don’t even know the degree of the nerf yet. Lets hold off until it rolls out. Myself and others included freaked out when hunter dodge got a nerf out of no where, whether it was justified or not depends on the person. The nerf wasn’t too bad though, this nerf could honestly be minor as -blam!-, we’ll have to wait and see.
