I'm a huge fan of the implementation of seasonal challenges. Benefits include:
1. Large EXP bonuses;
2. Bright dust;
3. Availability of all previous weeks, so anyone can catch up no matter when they join a season;
4. Clear direction on what to do if you want to grind artifact power; and
5. Challenges linked to every activity, so you can play what you want when you want and still complete challenges.
This kind of system is much, much better than a large volume of low-EXP bounties. It isn't the most creative solution to the bounty problem, but it is certainly simple and effective. Good job.

They're just more chores to me. And I have better things to do than go over here and do even more chores. The fact I have to do thousands of bounties each season is enough.

3 RespuestasThe new gambit one sucks

I’m at rank 72 so i like it my only problem which is my fault it feels like i lvl up to fast now i don’t even bother with battlegrounds anymore 😅😅😅

2 RespuestasPeople will be complaining about then 3-4 seasons from now when they basically start regurgitating the same accomplishments in a different coat of paint season after season. People will become sick of them. Example: Season 13: Defeat 2000 Cabal Season 14: Defeat 2000 Fallen Season 15: Defeat 2000 Hive Season 16: Defeat 2000 Taken

2 RespuestasWe need to make one thing perfectly clear. You play the game the way Bungie tells you to play it using the weapons Bungie tells you to use. Until such time as this Game Model is altered the game will continue to regress.
-
Still just Bounties under a different format, i prefer the player agency of weeklies over moms chore list.

2 RespuestasEditado por Swiftlock: 3/10/2021 4:42:24 PMThe bright dust change was actually bad. After completing the season pass, the amount of bright dust you earn over time is LESS than what it was in previous seasons, yielding less total dust earned overall. Also, the elimination of weekly bounties across all three characters just stifles your XP gains. Bungie just wrapped it up in a pretty retroactive interface and put big bright dust numbers on the season pass to make you think you're getting a good deal. Compared to before? You're not. It's not something to celebrate.

2 RespuestasDon't forget they're retroactive.

Editado por Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 3/10/2021 4:09:29 PMI like the concept but the challenges themselves aren’t great. 95% of it is the same old: - play a lot of this activity - play a lot of that activity - do a lot of this in this activity - do a lot of that in that activity - kill a lot of those guys in this activity Then we have things like required comp participation and gambit ranks that doesn’t progress for sub ranks. I also have one that just straight up won’t progress for me despite using known methods(Intruder Alert). I get what they’re going for but it just feels so.... forced. This thing they do where they spread it out across everything and try so hard to get everyone to play everything instead of just letting players pick what they like the most. It’s the same tired snd unreasonable strategy Bungie has used for so long. All that being said, the amount of bright dust I’m getting despite the challenges I can’t or most likely won’t ever do is nice. I just wish they were more inspired and felt less like a lame attempt to try to get everyone to play everything. They can’t possibly have an accurate gauge for what people like to play the most because of how they implement these kinds of pursuits in this way.

2 RespuestasIt’s just weeklies that stay in your inventory
-
Agreed, if you turn in seasonal challenges at the start of the week, you can get 4-8 levels maybe even more, that’s juts the highest I’ve turned in.
-
I think it’s alright, so far. I will never say good job to Bungie before seeing the entirety of whatever it is being discussed.
-
We love chores!
-
I agree BUT putting things in like 3 X presage clears, and 13 comp games is just bad design. The majority hate PvP nevermind comp, it's a toxic sweatpit, n presage means using lfg, jumping puzzles etc it's just not fun (for many players).
-
7 RespuestasThey just added crappy list of bounties. Do not like this shit.
-
100% agree. Not to mention you dont have to go out of your way to pick them up and get lucky, most of the challenges you do by just playing the game normally and it's more an indicator of how much you play rather than you having to go out of your way to get, say, fusion rifle kills (although there are still some like that)
-
I like them but I would prefer it if we could complete the crucible ones in any playlist rather than them be for specific modes.
-
Id agree if theyd remove gambage.
-
1 RespuestaThey just need to separate the "seasonal" challenges from the weekly challenges. You should be able to see all weeks even if they are time-gated. They are just untrackable bounties in menu form, but yeah it's nice being able to complete previous weeks if you want. There seems to be less bright dust and xp this way, if you feel like playing more.
-
Yeah, I agree. Much better than mountains of bounties.

7 RespuestasHaving to play PvP is annoying.
-
I'm actually enjoying them too. Mostly for the 3° reason you mentioned. I feel I can complete them as I want, with no worries or need to rush. Bright Dust as reward is great combined with EXP. These first 3 weeks were pretty good. Let's see for the next...
-
Only thing is the challenges need to be truly seasonal. You can complete a challenge within in the season, but if they want to keep something relevant and lock the challenge to later in the season, you may be forced to complete challenges multiple times. I'd be fine with not being able to get the XP & bright dust until the week it is available, but it should be completed if done at any point in the season.

4 RespuestasSay that when Trials is a seasonal challenge ,it's coming
