We use upgrade modules to change the type of energy on any given gear, ascendant shards, prism and enhancements cores are use to masterwork weapons and gear, and upgrade modules are use to change the type of energy of gear, infusion is a mechanic from another time, every time we hit a new level cap we then proceed to infusion everything we need, want, like which is such a drag, instead what we need is to level up out slots, every time we hit a new level up on a given slot all the gear for the slot should automatically up, I think is fair and we would still be chasing materials on the game for everything else
-
Facts. Infusion is a pointless mechanic meant to extend play time. Just have everything in the slot have my maximum possible power for that slot, y’know, just like the game already perceives it 😒
-
5 RespuestasIt’s used to keep us grinding. Bungie thinks that the more we play, the more likely we are to spend money. Nothing else guides their decisions.
-
3 RespuestasInfusion is the worst level up mechanic in a game ever, it's only there to waste time and give false sense of progress.
-
Never understood how the light is in the guardian, but somehow the power level is in/on the crap we carry.
-
Gear leveling in general needs to be removed. Just have overall character level or artifact level. RNG "progression" system is ridiculous and does not work very well. Its all just made to keep you grinding because they believe the longer you spend in game the more you might blow your $$ on eververse trash to look pretty.
-
Sure bring slot leveling. Requires prisms and shards and upgrade modules to increase by 1. There, infusion gone and it used an existing system already found in element changing.

Who's we?

I'm not sure about this. Your idea sounds good initially, but I fear it would end up making 90% of all weekly activities even more pointless than they already are. Worth a second look though 👍
-
Totally agree. But infusing your gear to the new light level is 80% of D2 "content", so removing that will never happen.
-
Like which is such a drag. I tuned out. First world problems I guess.

1 RespuestaThe second you hit soft cap, example 1250, all your gear should auto level to that.
-
Infusing all my weapons and armour sets every season is very annoying.
-
14 RespuestasIt needs to go away. But unfortunately Bungie is still struggling to produce loot in the quantity this game needs, so they are still crutching on having us farm for materials in order to upgrade gear as a means of keeping us playing
-
2 RespuestasDon’t mind infusion, just take away cores for currency. May use use glimmer or gunsmith rep for a pack of 3-5
-
I don’t know what the best solution is to levelling but I know they have to change something. Does anyone actually like the current system?! One thing that should already be in place is some kind of protection - getting each powerful or pinnacle in the same slot is a truly shocking system. I know [i]why[i] they do this - to increase play time - but the amount of people who stop playing due to this probably outweighs that 🥴

3 RespuestasI'm grateful it hasn't been reverted back to D1Y1 infusion process. If you know, you know.
-
I think that since we also level up Artifact power, there is a valid argument for this. But the only way it makes any sense is for Artifact leveling to be far more engaging, which let’s be real, it hasn’t been since it was introduced. It also introduces the problem of almost any core activity being useless, reintroducing the few weapons that honestly needed to be sunset (imo the sandbox is far healthier without revoker and recluse relevant anymore), etc. In general, nice idea on paper, but in reality is probably worse than what we have, which already kinda sucks.
-
I agree that it could be better but getting these materials aren't exactly challenging which begs the question..... What would be the point?

1 RespuestaSlot leveling.

Why y'all wanna support leaving loot behind? If you want trash loot then just use your trash loot
-
It should be Gear Score “Power Level” And a level System: like Elder Scrolls online’s Champion points. Power Level makes you have more defense and offense to the activity/zone Skill Power: Points would raise 50, to 100 each season. 200 to start You’d get a Gun Tree Defense Tree And Class Tree Example: Gun Tree, 0 of 25 points. Add 0.5% Hand Cannon accuracy (all guns have own perk) Defense Tree, 0 of 25 Take 0.5% less damage from Champions Class Tree, 0 of 25 do 0.5% more Grenade Damage You could have dozens of these perks and keep players playing and advancing every season

It was stupid to infuse 2 200 level items into a 180 level item to have it at 200. If only one was used, it would only be at around 190.
