Of I remember right they are the hive worms that u can see thrall eat in dread aught in d1 and during the crotas prism mission in d1. The worm just acts like a caterpillar and transforms into the moth when it isn't eaten

I wont burn you at the stake. But hive worms don't mature into anything else. Oryx's worm was billions of years old.

I thought there was difference between the hive worms they eat and the worms that are fed by them

When a hive is born it eats a worm and from then on has to kill things frequently or it dies The worms on the dreadnought and moon are The same worms. You can see that because sometimes when you kill a knight a worm pops out.
