First off, I agree with you. Having said that, prepare to be attacked by PC elitists who will proceed to tell you there is no hacking on console. While console players know this is untrue, they will debate you to the bitter end. Your best bet is to stop playing crucible, learn to accept it is never going to be fixed, or continue to be frustrated. Personally, I play just enough to get weekly drops and get back out. Doesn't bother me as I only care about PvE anyway.

Your 100 percent correct . Cronus Zen is being used by loads of people . If anyone doesn’t know what this is , look it up . So obvious when someone can up the rate of fire on there gun alongside increasing their aim assist . The problem needs to be talked about more

There are more cheaters on console then on pc. PC cheaters get caught, console cheaters are rarely caught.

How do you know people are using aimbot attachments? Serious question.

I get that you might be frustrated but I honestly don’t think there are that many ppl with aiming bitts build into there controller often you just run into ppl more skilled. Or they have scuff controllers maybe. Ddossing is something that doesn’t happen that much anymore. Like one in 25 games. I would be gladd to help you with anything it you have a hard time finding ppl to play with

Loving this thread and agree with all the corrections about the differance between hacking and manipulating/modding. But for the purpose of console cheating we should not put it all on Bungie. Sony and Microsoft are more to blame for the allowance of modded remotes. The systems are theirs and they could make an effort to uphold their own pattent rights and put a stop to the sale of after market controllers. They could also put in some effort to watch connection losses on all games and formulate a program to ban IP addresses. While it would be ideal for console manufactures to help their users on their own, it is just not happening. But, if you do have video of console cheating you can send it to Sony and they will look into the account details. Im not sure how Microsoft works but its likely the same. If they see oddities or blatent cheating in an account holders console stats they have the power to do more than Bungie could ever do. It is extra effort and not something that will likely give you instant gratification but if we are all so sick of seeing this then we all need to put fixing it on those who can. Just food for thought.

Because there are extraordinarily few console hackers and you can't very well sue an ISP for providing a connection that is not immune to lag switches, nor a service that allows for DDOSes. You can sue a hack developer. Hacks alter the game. The other stuff takes advantage of the infrastructure that the game already has.

And some think cross platforms "is a good thing" 😂 I wonder if there is a way to create a system that detects certain controllers that shouldn't be used, and if somone is using one the system will not work. Might help a lot with at least the controllers.

The controller adapters cannot be easily detected (some cannot be at all) is why. The only way to spot these is abnormal accuracy stats for example if a player has a 90+ headshot for pvp but only 30 for pve or a sudden switch in either modes from an average percentage to godlike between sessions, it's obviously suss but would take a lot of resources to police. Ddos while it does happen is no where near the amount it is reported on by players (ddos knocks out your entire network not just boots you from a match) so takes a lot of resources to identify and police. Lag switching again happens but without video evidence and investigation again hard to police. Seeing as the last two often happen from players running a VPN again hard to trace unless a trend can be identified i.e. it only happens often when a specific player or players are in a lobby. I've come across a clan on a few occasions that lag switch, I've reported them and I dont see that clan on alot anymore (I actually haven't seen any of them in game at all since BL dropped) So they may have been banned. Reporting works.......slower than what we would like but it works if the players are in fact guilty, many get through as not solid enough evidence or in game reporting is gathered by players. If you see something suss record and report it's all we can do for now. For those who genuinely believe they are being the target of Ddos invest in a VPN yourself many of those who use Ddos attacks use a service to do it and have 0 ability themselves a VPN will prevent them from seeing your IP so they will have no target address. Even if they do get through a simple turn off of the modem for around 10 minutes will sever the attack Change of IP address will also sever the attack.

Im willing to bet money That I have more time and experience in crucible then anyone else in this thread. And I’ve never encountered a hacker on PS4. If they do exist, they are extraordinarily rare.

Aimbot is not on console watch some clips from PC if you want to see "aimbot" Ddosing maybe but probably not everywhere

Aimbot = software hacking Controller mods = hardware hacking There are two legitimate reasons for stuff like this: 1) Yes, some people use controller mods for a mouse and keyboard via console, which can improve speed and accuracy. Not an aimbot though. 2) The real big problem is actually the crappy lag from P2P that makes people seem like gods or cheaters. It's really a fact that they rounded the corner and shot you 5 seconds ago, but it just now registered on your end. P2P lag issues aren't indicative of either side having bad internet, by the way. Distance between the players is usually the biggest factor as it increase the lag time for each ISP/switch/hop involved between point A and B of the players.

I'm going to give everyone some advice. If you have a problem with the this game, other games, Bungie, other developers, the industry as a whole and you want change? It's a two (2) step plan and both have to be done in order to get all of the industry "normalities" to end. First off, state your issue or issues in clear, consist, stoic language. You have got to stop with the emotional charged speeches. Not just the topics but you have to stop using emotional language in your posts. Bungie is a company first and do not understand any circumstance care about you, your situation, your family or anyone else's life unless it seems to be a social charged subject, such as; religion, politics, social issues, (i.e; gender, race, sexual preference and so on) and only care if it seems to open up the demographic to potential customers. This is about only one thing: money. So in the plainest of terms; make your case, state the details of the issue and wait patiently for a response. If a quick and consist response does arrive, move on to second step. Second, this is the most important part of this step towards constructive and position changes to not just our favorite game but for this industry as a whole. You have to have the will, the fortitude, to stop spending money and your valuable time on these companies by playing the games they're wasting both of the resources you give them. The will not, I repeat, will not stop this course of action if you (the gaming community as a whole) continue to support them no matter what they do. Bungie's staff and Bungie's investors want results in the form of your play time and your money. If they don't have either of those, over time, they won't have either until they make meaningful changes. If you do these two (2) things, you'll start to see change. Emotionally charged, ultimatum lined posts aren't going to change anything. Take your time and money somewhere else till they change. I hope this helps you all.
