It's so incredibly UNFUN to be FORCED to use a weapon type I don't like in high level content (e.g. hand cannons) because it's the only weapon this season that gets a particular champion damage mod (in this case Unstoppable, and yes I know there's also Unstoppable Shotgun later in the artifact for an excessively high 7 energy cost, that's not the point).
Instead can we please just permanently have three general weapon mods for the three champion damage types, and then have those mods be slottable onto to ANY legendary weapon. This would still force the player to choose between a champion weapon mod and a regular weapon mod (backup mag, rampage spec, etc) and wouldn't be usable with exotics as before since they don't have a weapon mod slot, but would give players the freedom to use whichever weapon they are most comfortable with to deal with each champion type if they don't mind sacrificing the use of a different weapon mod.
It also wouldn't invalidate the use of the newer style artifact mods either, making it so that the champion damage mods from the artifact are slotted into your Arms and then apply to any weapon you equip of the appropriate type (inc exotics) isn't a bad idea, and continuing to have only a limited selection weapons it applies to each season is fine as long as you ALSO give us the option to ignore the artifact mods and instead opt for the freedom to put champion damage weapon mods directly onto any legendary weapon we want.

1 RespuestaI like that they rotate it keeps it fresh but ALL primaries should have some utility. I.e. this season bows and sidesrms because useless in end content
-
2 RespuestasSo you don't want to use a weapon you actually have to aim? Says a lot about how you play the game!
-
4 RespuestasYou have a bow...a HC and a hunter solar melee and a sidearm for unstoppables. Also shotgun.
-
2 RespuestasIts like you're missing the point of the restrictions. It gets harder... not more "fun". The game increases its difficulty to challenge players and reward them with better loot. Its a simple concept, you want fun and no restrictions you play lower level versions. Quit whinging.

1 RespuestaYou lost me at exotic primaries being useless again
-
1 RespuestaJust deal with it, high level stuff is meant to be challenging and to get you out of your comfort zone.

33 RespuestasEditado por Crystilonus2011: 11/29/2020 12:06:25 AMUse new weapons. Not hard. There are scouts, pulse, autos, subs, and shotguns as champ mods. That’s like just under half of weapons. Calm down.

Now that the mods go on gear, I'm surprised why they cant allow the mod to just be called by their names, slap em on and your equip weapons can be anti barrier or OL. They can adjust the description so that way it clearly states, AR, HC, smgs and so on can use A.B. and what uses O.L. Having limited weapons per season for anti barrier and overloads are just as bad as time gated stuff. That's how it feels for me at least, just let us use w.e we like, ahh that's the problem, the fact we LIKE to use w.e we want for the mods is the reason why bungie doesnt want us to. It's too much fun.

I love the way Destiny players cry when they have to adapt to things 😂

3 RespuestasEditado por Hogg44: 11/29/2020 11:12:14 AMNot a fan of the way champions are designed either. I’m all for adding more challenging enemies into the mix but champions are once again re-skinned enemies but some arbitrary mod/weapon type check. What’s the point of creating a build using armour, weapons and mods you like when you have to scrap that and use the gear you don’t like for a large portion of endgame content. It’s just like sunsetting. Bungie has this obsession with trying to make players use different/new weapons when sometimes we just want to play by our own rules. I would like champions to be redesigned as unique enemies that require pseudo-raid tactics to defeat, not specific weapons/mods.

Exotic Primaries become useless.

As frustrating as the champion mods can be I don’t think they should go away. However I do think there should be more mods each season and they should extend to special weapons. There should be a healthy amount of choices per season.

2 RespuestasBungie forces the double primaries archetype every season, only because they don’t want us to insta melt overloads with weapons in high end content. At least grenades work great and surge eater makes them very reliable. Overload rounds for auto rifles are broken af. They should really fix this crap. Scouts are efficient tbh. SMG work great against AB, pulses are decent but not as great, each burst should deal more damage to the barriers. Unstoppable are inexistants in this season, having to use double primaries for a couple of them in an entire NF feels cheap.

7 RespuestasThis is part of the problem with Luke-Chumpions, it is ALL about mods not gunplay, not gameplay. It's trash. I'm glad they brought in Wyverns incidentally. They are tough and exasperating but they don't require some specific company-prescribed setup just to begin playing.

Some more variations would be nice

Fk a champion, the Lam eats em for breakfast. And yes, I always teabag after I dismantle their punkass.

10 RespuestasYou know, i would say your idea is bad because people would just use a meta loadout. (recluse/mountaintop) But now that sunsetting is a thing...
