The Ascendant Lens
I haven't seen anyone mention this, but in the False Promises lore, the Drifter gives the Spider a box that he "went through hell to get". He asks the Spider who he is looking for with whatever is in the box. The Spider replies that it is just a looking glass.
It seems pretty obvious to me that this box contains the Ascendant Lens the Spider has gifted to us. He also went through quite a lot of effort and spent a hefty sum to aquire it. So why would he just give it to us?

I would assume the box he refers to was that mysterious box that never yielded anything/lead to anywhere.
