In d1 my go to weapon was a scout and it felt great to use
In d1 my go to weapon was a scout and it felt great to use
I've actually been back on D1 a little but this past week...it's incredible how much more powerful they feel than in D2.

Oh yeah definitely primary weapons in general felt great to use, overall the gun play felt way smoother in d1 than it is in d2
Oh yeah definitely primary weapons in general felt great to use, overall the gun play felt way smoother in d1 than it is in d2
It's weird...its different in that they try to specifically funnel you into using specific weapon/ability combinations as the only effective way of getting through endgame. And then when everyone uses it, they nerf it because everyone uses it.

People talk about how d2 has more perk combinations that allow you to use more weapons but at the end of the day in d2 only few weapons are viable in any endgame content, while I could go into any endgame raid for d1 and use whatever I feel like and it will still be fully viable. D1 let you play the way you wanted, while d2 has always been about playing the way bungie wants you to play. Are there still alot of qol changes that were made for d2 yes, but overall d1 was a more satisfying game to play. Now if you give me a d1 with some of the qol changes I'll play that nonstop.

Sins of the Past Whisper/Sleeper for a short time Ikelos Shotgun Swarm/Lunafaction Izanagi Xeno Xeno/Swords

Yupp pretty much and with the nerf to swords coming the meta will simply be xeno and divinity and nothing else
Yupp pretty much and with the nerf to swords coming the meta will simply be xeno and divinity and nothing else
Did they mention a general sword nerf? I just saw the nerf to Guillotine. Honestly for GMNFs with Mountaintop dying and rockets getting more reserves, I could see it being Izzy/Rocket Launcher since you don't really do sustained dps to those bosses for long. And if barrier is up close weapons again as they love to do for more artificial difficulty then you'll see some Long Shadow/Erianas combos. No idea what this new raid will require of course, but Xeno yeah thats still clearly the best distance dps option, especially on a War Rig Titan.

Well the main sword used for destroying stunned champions, falling guillotine, is getting a 24% damage nerf. So you're right I can see izinagi being the go to for champion disposal with a divinity paired with it. I don't see rockets being used since their damage isn't buffed and reloading them takes to long to fire multiple rockets at a stunned champion
