This.... this is beyond outrageous. I know there are issues with this game, but those are for the most part, unintentional. But this is just holding player investment hostage while fomo threatens to take your title if you stop paying attention to this game.
And no, of course they won't tell us when it does become available.. It'll be up to some poor soul who sticks around doing the quest each week to find if it's been unlocked.
I have been pretty sympathetic of bungie because they let me player their content and play other games to saturate my pallet of entertainment while it goes through content droughts. Then I come back to play the new stuff. That was my unspoken agreement with the company, but for forsaken's sake, at least pretend you thought fomo was a mistake, instead you're parading it. It might not be a lie for luke smith to deem fomo as a mistake and keep using it on the fly, but it's inauthentic.
Action speaks louder than words, and this is the worst investment story I've heard.

Just wait until the last week to do it. Is it silly they delayed it? Absolutely but if you don't want to play you don't have to. You literally only have to do the means to an end quest one time the very last week to get all the lore pieces.

Hey Bungie, I got an idea. If you need something to pad out the lore entries, how you about making Truth to Power farmable? Should give you a couple extra weeks while newer Guardians go after those lore entries instead.

One would assume the last entry would be a direct transition to BL so it's understandable it's being withheld.

11 RespuestasI’m more confused that we got the evacuation lore like the planets are gone (Sloane dead, Asher lost in the Pyramidion, Vance lost in the infinite forest) which are all cool endings to the NPCs being gone..... buuuuuuut since the planets still exist and I can go visit the NPCs, it’s a 110% miss on Bungles part 🤷🏻♂️

I assumed it'd have strong ties to Beyond Light stuff and having it flow into the release would be best for world building. But at least tell us or something. Don't just wait for someone to point it out and go "oh yeah that's intentional." Anyway my guess is that it becomes available the last week of the season as previously intended.

I was so excited to finally get a title I thought was awesome since Halo was the first game I ever played on the og xbox, and I thought the forerunners sounded awesome when I read up more about them in the lore. They shouldn't have done this, should have just let us get the title. All mmo ish type games usually have a content drought, but they pissed off the majority of us that was excited to get the title by doing this, essentially shooting themselves in the foot doing noone a favor.

15 RespuestasDude it was clearly delayed because the dlc was delayed. Unless they end the season and leave us with no seasonal activity and therefor also take away the pinnacle interference gives out then it wouldn’t work. Clearly whatever gives that lore is different than base interference and can’t happen until right before the season ends for good, which has been pushed back.

I just dont see the issue? The DLC was pushed back a month, meaning that the current season had to be extended because Beyond Light takes off EXACTLY where the season ends. In the leaked audios, [spoiler]the darkness says that an ancient power awaits on Europa[/spoiler], which is exactly at the end of the season. It wouldnt chronologically make sense to release it now.
