The vampire is about to speak when a voice interrupts him from behind, "What do you know of Dwarven mechanisms?"
An Elven woman steps through the breach, draped in a fur cloak with the hood around her shoulders to reveal long ears behind her black braids. She is also pale but not unnaturally so like the vampire, with dark tattoos swirling up her neck to frame her violet eyes.
She glares at the body of the warrior before you and Mikhail points to the vampire, then she bops him on the back.of the head with her white wood staff.

“Admittedly not as much as I could, but I have a friend in the nearby area who studies such stuff with much interest. I may know a trick or two. Who are you, anyways?”

The two warriors return from the other tunnel to see the situation before them, and silently pick up another body and continue their work... "I am Anweal, of the Coldfire Coven," the woman responds, "and unlike this brute, I believe anyone capable enough to travel this deep into these accursed woods may prove useful."

“And you are right, he is most certainty a brute. Traversing these woods can be dangerous enough alone, not enough to be lethal perhaps, but I would gratefully join your company through these mines.”

"The tunnel they are taking the bodies through leads outside, to the mountains, but the path is narrow and treacherous. I believe a great pair of doors within these ruins behind me opens to the main road."

“Then shall we follow the foot soldiers to the narrow mountains, or are we to go and find these doors?”

"We've found the doors, but they are sealed. The mechanism seems to be broken, which is why I asked what you knew of such things. We're unsure where the narrow path leads, as we entered the same way you did."

“Perhaps if the ally I mentioned catches up to us, then he can help us crack open this door.” *I realize I technically still have Mikhail hostage against my scimitar and let him go.* “Do you think there are still undead in here, or possible worse?”

Mikhail takes a breath and steps away. The Witch is about to respond when another warrior enters from the tunnel to your left, "More dead men coming!" The others ready themselves and the vampire sprints off ahead.

*I ready myself as well, lighting my sword once again.* “You know it would probably be better if we stuck together!” *I yell after the vampire but sigh, it’s pointless to tell someone with a great axe not to charge anyways.*

Mikhail takes cover behind the crates and aims his rifle at the tunnel. The one that just arrived raises a spear from behind his hide shield and the last stands before the Witch as she sends three wisps of violet light down the tunnel to illuminate it. The sounds of gunfire and clashing blades echoe throughout the tunnels, and then the vampire returns with another warrior over his shoulder. "Three Wights and around a half dozen of the others." He slumps the warrior down against the wall of the cave and she winces, then begins to wrap a gash across her leg.

*I move over to the wounded and cast cure wounds to restore 12 hit points.* “Here, let me help I’m a bit of a healer myself. You get prepared for when those undead come.”

"Th-thank you?" She stands and picks up a spear and shield, then takes position near the other. At the end of the tunnel, a Wight appears, then a group of undead with rusted armor and weapons charge forward! The warriors with the guns open fire.

“The enemy dress close, I’ll protect you if I can.” *I pick up my sword and prepare to swing when the enemies got closer.*
