Seriously what happened to the armor designers from D1? 99% of armor in this game looks like trash.
-
People have to stop remembering D1 through their rose coloured glasses, I felt most of it was lacking until the very end with the likes of VOG 2.0 and ROI I almost would rather all armor to drop with its random rolls and look like SLR gear and all aesthetics are just ornaments Come November, we’ll have yet another month of trash can guardians powering their light with what they can find looking like shit Transmog needs to get a wriggle on
-
Not going to disagree on D1, that game had some fantastic armour, but I don't know. I quite like the Beyond Light armour. Looks cool and unique and fits the aesthetic of the frozen Moon
-
1 RespuestaI actually like it
Feel free to downvote me on that one
-
The armor designers are still there. They are just being slaved away into Eververse
-
Not gonna cap that armor is straight ice
-
1 RespuestaIt’s a 2.0 version of the moon armour.
-
1 RespuestaYet still infinitely better looking than tangle shore armor.
-
My character looks like a gun, FPS.
-
its like the shadowkeep armor, also fugly. The nice looking stuff is hidden behind endgame, but more importantly - EVERVERSE

1 RespuestaEditado por SteakBarbare92: 8/31/2020 6:47:45 AMI remember raid armor being nice and a few Iron banner and Trial armor being nice too in D1 otherwise regular legendary armor weren't that great. Seems a bit overated. Didn't like chroma either. It was just a standard legendary with shiny color. But still we do in fact lack in the good armor departement too in d2 but some aren't that bad.
-
Yea, that was no appealing at all.
-
3 RespuestasThen its a good thing we'll have Transmog... From the rumors I've heard anyway
-
6 Respuestaslets be real here,.... d1 armor sucked balls too like 90% of all armor looked horrible d2, well same shit
-
The last time I actually saw an armor set that impressed me was the ornamented Raid armor sets when D1 was wrapping up. Since then, every armor set looks generic and watered down - I would assume so they can be all-inclusive and nobody feels upset about their appearance.

4 RespuestasEditado por Zoidberg: 8/30/2020 1:29:14 AMLooks like ass so they can sell ornaments. Expect this trend

The Shadowkeep armor sets were awful 😆
-
There will be nicer stuff for silver. That’s Bungie.

3 RespuestasEhy Summer. Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. Even if I won't define their work "trash" (and I would ask you to avoid this too), indeed the Artistic Direction about Armors in Destiny 2 became really... weird. Destiny 1 Armors had a very peculiar appeal that went completely lost with D2. Yesterday, watching the video I couldn't help myself to think how ugly the Europa Armors were. At 0:25 seconds there is a first close-up of the Titan Boots and... wow, bad. Really bad. The Armors are covered with furry parts upon the techy parts (at 0:31 seconds there is a close up of the Titan and you can see that better). It's like, I don't know... imagine to see an Ipad or an Iphone, just that parts of the cover instead of have metal/plastic elements have fur. So out of touch, right? Also, the backpacks. You can see that all Classes have a sort of unique backpack with "scene elements" like heavy blankets, snowshoes (yeah, snowshoes...), ropes and similar. They are so... unecessary in my opinion. I understand that the Artists direction wanted to create Armors the recalled the frosty ambient of Europa, but honestly? It doesn't work. There is this kind of mixed style of "sci-fi" Armors with traditional elements simply doesn't work. It's been three years now, we have so many Armors Set and I still continue to use the same 2-3 just because all the others, for me, are so ugly. And, well, I know that Bungie won't change this in the future...

Haha! I referred my brother to D2 shortly after Forsaken. Recently, I logged into D1 to show my brother all the armor I collected throughout those three years (he never played D1). His response: “WTF happened!?” I’m just happy he recognized how great the armor used to be and understands my current frustration.

4 lead devs from d1 jumped ship shortly after activision

3 Respuestas99%. No. Frumious, noble constant and ego talon. Revier dawn Of the great hunt sets Eververse sets... Some. Old solstice gear. That's just to name a few. And what's the best part, that's my opinion. As you belive 99% are trash is yours.
-
3 RespuestasAt least they have consistency. No one at the office wants to tell the armour design guy that he sucks at his job.
-
I really like the titan one and am hyped for the hunter backpack
-
I bet warlocks still get wobbly dresses 👗
-
Some armor is good, (mostly eververse) but I do like some of the planet gear like the curse of Osiris gear from Vance is really nice, but I definitely agree that D1 had way nicer armor.

1 RespuestaThe vast majority of D2 armour leaves me feeling little to nothing. It's all very uninspiring. Either silly Dragonfly fantasy or botched future retro mistakes. Titan shoulders & Warlock robes have a spectacularly high fail rate when it comes to aesthetic pleasure. And the shader system.. eugh Thank Xol it's 95% first person 😶
