Unpopular opinion: The FREE event is ok, you can get good stat rolls, the white glow is awesome.

Tons of people share your opinion. Not many in a forum that is made for hating Destiny and Bungie though.

The armour I've had from the packages seems to be on par with the seasonal engram rolls. Some meh, some ok. The seasonal engrams are plentiful and don't need EAZ slogging 👍 I've got 3 sets that need their glows but I'm not going to bother. Solstice is done for me. Iron Banner rolls seem better too.

Meh, it's ok. Better than nothing 👍 Don't forget though - it's not free. You have to buy electricity, broadband, a console or PC, the game, food and water to keep you alive, rent or mortgage, council tax. Quite an expensive event when you add it all up!

It’s a cut and paste of last year’s event which wasn’t especially good or interesting IMO. It’s less interesting this year after a year of monotonous busywork. I’ll suck it up and upgrade the blue sets so I have the legendary set to transmog in the future but don’t want anything to do with it after that. SRL would have been a better summer event, since we haven’t seen that in a couple years and it’s different and unique.

I mean I’m enjoying it for what it is. I think selling the glow at eververse makes this entire event super redundant, but I’m having fun going through the steps. Could it be better? Yes, but that could be said for just about everything in the game.

I'm still after the white glow. I can tolerate all requirements but Trials. Not looking forward to it at all.

1 RespuestaThe eaz is the same as last year, i thought they would have included champions but i guess content is hard. Brand new micros that i wont touch. Brand new armour made so that i buy the same glows i bought last year again, feels super scummy that one. Overall the event is below average, whilst i really enjoy the eaz the rest is micro transaction nonsense. Couldve been alot better seeing as though they had a year to update the eaz in some way but instead they concentrated on selling us in game stuff.

20 RespuestasThe white glow ISN’T a universal ornament So it will only work on the solstice armour And that’s gonna be no good at all if you get shitty rolls (and no luck from the package rng) and the armour isn’t worth the effort to masterwork Only the PAID (via Silver/Brightdust) ornaments that change colour according to subclass will be universal ornaments [b]Those[/b] ornaments cost the best part of £40 The Beyond Light DLC is £35 (for base version) Now see where’s best to invest your cash!

Great stats my dirty unwiped ass. Got the majestic armor for my Warlock with the worst set of stats I've seen. Makes me want to say screw it. The rate of getting armor drops from Solstice chest is so low, reportedly anyways, that it's almost not worth it.
