That is not good.
-
The only cheaters on console are booter and Xim users. I'd say Xim would be like 3-5% of the population and booters being less than 1%.

Editado por SSK0T: 8/7/2020 2:05:54 PMPeople here tend to say that teams use VPN and setup fake locations to create lag to give their team an advantage. I have no idea if that works, but that's the common rant here about VPN for console. It sounds like a lot of effort, but maybe people are doing that.
-
I use a VPN to hide from DDOS attacks, dosent affect my connection at all, and tried to see if there was a way to "lag switch" in a privite match, but it just ended up booting for poor conection
-
Well i see lag from time to time but i personally cant claim i have ever seen anyone cheat on xb1. On play station i have seen modded rate of fire weapons but i dont know how that works.

Editado por SSK0T: 8/7/2020 4:40:56 PMThere is definitely a lot of lag without cheating. I see a huge difference when I use the Dumas OS GeoFilter or don't use it. I saw that recommended by a moderator here in the forum and man they were right. I'm not so convinced that we are 100% CBMM based on what happens with and without that filter working.

Editado por Ubisuccle: 8/7/2020 3:11:08 PMBasically all the rate of fire mods are (to my understanding anyway) are essentially macros built into the controller’s software that allow guns to fire as fast as possible and in some cases mess with the game to increase the fire rate past what is allowed. For example on PC i can set up a macro for my left click (the fire button) that can repeat that click every .1 second and in doing so weapons with high or no rate of fire caps will fire extremely quickly. Many games ban for these macros however.... Destiny is not one of them. Afk macros and titan skating macros were rampant for a long time and no one got banned

So can this happen on ps4 or xbox? I have seen crazy shit in ps4 but not xbox.

Editado por Ubisuccle: 8/7/2020 5:51:08 PMIn consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS3 yes, and it was quite common. Newer consoles have better security and detect non native hardware/software, typically perma banning the console and account that was signed in. Though, im sure there are exceptions and ways around it as there always is. Honestly though I haven’t kept up with consoles too much after switching to PC even though PS5 has some juicy exclusives
