When is bungie going to address the concerns that there's been a focus on a 'Streamers First' initiative in this past years development cycle?
Logicaly you would think most of Bungies money comes from solo players, so why is there so little end game content geared towards rewarding players with matchmade activities?
Why is there so much hurrah around making Twitch integration, rather than story based missions for the season?
Where is the team reguarding retooling this so PLAYERS, the wider breathd of the Destiny base, are the ones getting rewarded for playing the game, not nolifes and streamers? When the entire game is basicly "end game content" why is the better part of it not for most of the player base? Why is it just the grind?
I find it wierd, that theres SO much AMAZING art content in this game, and it gets overshadowed by the failure to keep the game FUN. Nowhere in that equation do you even have to sacrifice art, just, stop designing the truely epic feeling story content for .0001% of players..

11 RespuestasI'm sorry you are not enjoying the game. Have you tried, doing bounties?

14 RespuestasHave you ever considered your mindset is preventing you from having fun? Even gambit can be fun with the right mindset. And even Minecraft(or whatever game you enjoy) can be unfun with a specific mindset.

1 RespuestaCasual playerbase is going to fork over the money for an expansion, stick around for a month and come back only at events, exotic quests and new seasons. The streamers and no lifers breath both higher quantity of microtransactions and content in the game. This game is not about blue gear and vanguard strike playlist it is about Raids, hard nightfalls, dungeons, (Gambit) and PvP.

It’s only going to get worse. Luke pointed to them refueling aspirational content. So think heading back to Warmind when everyone who didn’t get paid to play this left because they followed streamer input. It’s a catch 22 with hardcore players. They want the game to be inaccessible to anyone who doesn’t play 24/7 but fail to realize Bungie can’t can’t continue to produce content without casuals and solo players also giving them money. So to chase them away hurts hardcore players too. As a solo player myself, I’ll just be playing whatever Bungie gives me for free going forward until I see what they truly have planned for next year. My guess is an expansion as lame as Shadowkeep and an emphasis on catering to the 1%.

2 RespuestasBecause this game isn’t a single player RPG. If you want that experience, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey or Horizon: Zero Dawn will be happy to help you out. But playing Destiny means that some content is out of reach for those who don’t want to play with a fireteam.

1 RespuestaInfluencers-first is a mindset that a lot of individual-customer-driven corporations focus on, for many reasons. The first and most obvious is because they have a mutually beneficial relationship. If streamers keep playing Destiny, streamers keep making money from fans. While doing that, they're generating free advertisement and community that Bungie doesn't have to pay for. People that don't watch content creators may not realize that they are influential to players. If that weren't the case, Bungie wouldn't cater to them. People look at what people like Datto, Aztecross, and Gladd say with high regard. If players are mad about cheating in Trials, they may not say anything. They may just accept it and keep playing. But when their thoughts are echoed by someone with hundreds of thousands of followers across different platforms, they might act on those thoughts. And when their thoughts are countered in that same way, they might change their minds. I'm not saying this is right or wrong, but I am saying this is what Bungie is doing, they have less reason to change than not to, and I wouldn't expect them to change it anytime soon.

I do an activity, I get said rewards that I expect from the activity with RNG sprinkled in there. I get what I want/expect from this game. I suggest that if you don't find the game rewarding, you should find a game that does reward you the way you wish.

2 RespuestasI would suggest going on the Google machine, and looking up mmo rpg, this is what bungie called this game before destiny 1 even came out. But you and a other people, didn't believe them.
-
Well it depends on what you find rewarding for example I enjoy getting people through their first raid, or getting them weapons like anarchy, 1k voices, whisper, outbreak, etc. Getting people in the community I play with hyped is what makes me hyped. For others it's Trials wins, loot, engaging story, so to demand a company to put something YOU find rewarding in to the game is a bit of an ask. You ever hear the term if you try to make everyone happy you succeed at making nobody happy. The game is flawed. The game has issues and those are valid complaints and tangible things to fix. To say the game isn't rewarding is a user issue. I don't find games like fortnite rewarding for getting a pat on the back for winning a game but that game has been a huge hit. Different strokes for different folks.

33 RespuestasWhy are people so obsessed with being rewarded for something they do for fun? Surely the enjoyment you get from the game is rewarding. And if the game isn't fun, enjoyable or rewarding to you, why continue to play?

The story is not designed for streamers. What you're getting at is the high level content. In which case the problem is on you. If they catered to streamers the casuals would have quit and we'd have less complaints. Several streamers even outrightly said the game should not be designed towards them and it really isn't. If you cannot be bothered to do whatever it is you want to do then that sounds like a you problem.

Its funny how some people have no grasp of the concept of player investment. Bungie want as many players to play their game so how do they do it? There are 2 ways to do it 1. Create a content grind which doesn't make the players feel appreciated by not giving them things like duplicates or under power gear forcing them to either keep grinding or make them give up. 2. Create a content grind that actually rewards players for their time...yes people will hit max power alot faster but it doesn't force them to keep playing the game it actually encourages them and makes them feel like they are archieving something by playing the game. I think alot of players would prefer option 2 because option 1 alienates the community. I have had many cases where i spent about 24+ hours a week grinding for powerful gear only to go up 2 or 3 power because RNG gives me dupes or under power gear Something needs to be done.

7 RespuestasEditado por GeekCred: 7/22/2020 3:48:37 PMCause "Our best and brightest"™ Honestly, they're getting a kickback from Twitch, so just think of this as Eververse 2.0. Plus they don't have to devote much effort to pass this off as "content" (beginning to see a pattern here...). For a limited time, watch 10 hours of a stream and donate $10 to your favorite streamer for a Twitch branded pinnacle weapon!...😒
