So the Darkness is flipping gravity, white deserts, Rubix cubes, Rainbow Road, and reskinned Taken bosses?

Trial by combat, who is worthy survives. Sword Logic That is the Darkness. The Winnower is a cosmic deity whose philosophy revolves around survival of the fittest. Which over time became known as the Deep philosophy. Cooperation and complexity are the philosophy of the Sky. Which came from the Traveler/Gardener. The paracausal power the Dark and Light use is simply raw cosmic power the Gardener infused into the universe. We have seen it in the form of Dark and Light. Now we see there is another form, -blam!-.

So... what everyone already knows? That's my problem with this answer, it literally makes no sense. You can't be fundamentally different while ALSO being the same. Is it seriously too much to get a LITERAL answer in this damn game. The concept of survival of the fittest does nothing to explain the legion of pyramid ships entering the system.
-
You can be perceived as being fundamentally different when in fact you’re almost identical. That’s the hook in the lore. Almost everything is couched in bias, incomplete understanding or outright deception. Very little is 100%. How does an invasion against a small and semi-powerful force not encapsulate survival of the fittest? If we survive, against overwhelming odds, then we prove who is the victor. Whose philosophy is ultimately right. You’re being too shallow and not thinking. To be honest, not digging at you

That's my problem with Destiny's lore, particularly nowadays. All symbolism, no substance. Everything is just a bunch of jumbled together nonsense that wastes my time. I shouldn't have to do my damn homework to understand what anything means nowadays. I just want to enjoy the narrative. But most of it is locked behind the nonsense.
-
It’s not nonsense. There is a lot to learn by reading it all and being able to put it together. If you only want a simple easy story, just focus on the in game narrative and leave the lore alone. If you want the full deep dive story, don’t complain about having to put in effort to figure it out. Go to Ishtar and start reading.
-
Again, I shouldn't have to hours of homework for the game to have a decent narrative. Same way I shouldn't have to do two weeks of chores to play the new content.
-
The Gardner brings up. The Winnower Cuts down. The Traveler Gives. The Pyramid Ships Take. This is the way. This is THE GAME.
-
I know that. Baby's first bad guys. But what are the ships? No amount of philosophy lessons will do anything about the pyramid that's getting cozy on Io.
-
I’ll leave that for you to discover by yourself.
