Felwinters can only kill at a slightly longer range than MB

I used both and the spread seems to be better on felwinters too. I used four different shotguns last night for comparison. Mindbenders, dust Rock blues, good bone structure and parcel of stardust. Admittedly the perks varied but we're very similar between felwinters and MD. Felwinters felt consistently stronger on a variety of different maps. Of course I havent tested it in a custom lobby but as far as gameplay goes I dont see any reason to pick up my other shotguns anymore. I was hitting people from whatfelt like at least 50% further than mindbenders with some notable damage and one shorting people from about a third of the distance longer than MD but with much greater accuracy.

Yes... of course the spread will be better... that's the whole point of the gun
-
That's the most uninsightful meaningless reply I've ever seen on any of my threads. The whole point of the gun is to have better spread than all other shot guns??? Are you sure that's its intended purpose? I'm not particularly offended by its strength but as per the bungie status quo everybody is running the same shot gun as the next guy and therefore, just like when mindbenders governed andd other shot guns before mind benders, there is always a forced meta. Its the meta that I'm tired of. Perhaps a play list that focuses on balance instead of meta would satisfy some like me. A play list where I can choose my weapons without the risk of getting walked all over. All other play lists could continue to provide you with predictable and repetative feel while players like me mess around with options and variety, as the original thread says. Felwinters is easy enough to counter. Just equip a felwinters. Keep it simple, and predictable, and repetative. It's in my opinion one of bungies major flaws. They look to fix it with weapon retirement which I'm excited for but, weapons are apparently going to have a shelf life of approximately eighteen months or so and for that time we are likely to experience this same problem unless bungie work harder or weapon balance. They have already mentioned the need to rid themselves and us of power creeps and this is a good example of that problem. What now? Buff all shot guns? Nerf Felwinters? Leave it alone and have a forced meta? I'd prefer a gun that is evenly matched against any in its same architype personally so that I get to choose what works for me based on my skill set not on the guns ability to make all others obsolete.

All the other shotguns were SO inconsistent, and if someone had 1 perk better than you they would absolutely stomp you. Felwinters has the intrinsic perk "shot package", a perk from d1, which tightens the spread. This free shotgun allows everyone to be on the same level. The counter to felwinters is to not get close.

Editado por IBYZK: 6/5/2020 4:02:26 PMYou're proving my point then aren't you? Yet again a single gun has made all others a non viable option (for anybody with any sense) and seeing as felwinters seems fine then surely we are just anticipating a buff to all other guns that are accordingly inconsistent. Either that or we have one truly viable option for the next goodness knows how long until other guns arrive or felwinters is retired. That takes me back to my original point which is that there is no variety and always a forced meta and it makes it feel like there are only a handful of guns available in the game. The rest are pea shooting half functioning BB guns. Either way you look at it the conclusion is the same. One gun makes all others not worth using or all others guns make one gun the only gun worth using. Lack of balance and therefore slim lined set of options to choose from.
-
Lol other guns weren't viable anyway. It was only a specific roll of that gun, which is still up to par with felwinter cause it has more handling
-
And my point still stands. All other inconsistent guns leave felwinters as the only viable one and therefore only one option. With all due respect I'm not repeating that point again. If you don't get it now, you never will.
-
Ok. And? This was the case before felwinters too.
-
Exactly!! And so lazy bungie didn't work on it to fix the shotguns over all, they just added in a shot gun that makes all the others even more pointless than they originally were and we are back to square one... No variety, no choices, just one gun to use if you have any common sense in PVP. That's why it's so silly and bad for the crucible. We just keep going around in circles and the power creep just keeps rearing its ugly head.
-
Ok. And?

My thread asks for answers not professes to have the answers. Drop the attitude or go do something else with your life 🤦♀️
-
Anything else to add?
-
Nothing that you'd be able to comprehend clearly
-
Your argument is empty and pointless, that's why you do not deserve a proper response

Typical destiny forum troll you are. Can't have a civil conversation. Can't intellectualise or articulate your answers in a meaningful manner. Best thing to do with people like you is mute. People like you always devolve the conversation into some sort of potty styled tit for tat insult drama and you add nothing of any importance to the conversation. I don't get angsty about people like you I just mute and block to make room for people who actually know what they are talking about 👌
-
Bye bye. Keep crying about how you get whooped in pvp, it's funny.
-
Like I said, always devolves into the same generic patter. I dont get wooped in PVP. I felt guilty being a tank with a silly shot gun and that's what prompted me to make this post. Felwinters felt effortless and the kills came too easily. You need to grow up child. Your copy and paste insults are nothing short of a show of your lack of anything good to say
-
Sure thing, pal. You must be playing at a low skill bracket if people are getting killed so easily by a shotgun :)
